That Bird broad is a piece of sh!t. It was a somewhat close fight but for her to try to rob Calzaghe like that is bullsh!t. Shes a piece of sh!t.

"the bunker"
nah...just finished watching the ufc....

anybody think that was a good fight?...i thought it was a mess...very few clean punches landed...

i blame that on bhop...he got very old tonight...his legs and arms were ridiculously slow....that should be his last fight...43 is old....we saw that tonight...he just threw a straight right hand and dove into the clinch...

and calzaghe didn`t look much better...if he won, which i think he did,it was only because he came forward....he slapped alot as usual...shoe shine stuff...no really solid shots...

vsery little clean from either guy...

had to take the free play on hopkins because the hedge on calzaghe by decision was a gimme if bhop fell short......he couldn`t knock even an old hopkins out with a baseball bat...

after seeing the marquez brothers and casa/katsidis and and all the other solid fights we`ve seen recently, this was a horrible disappointment....

not sure anybody`s legacy was done any favors...

Romi under difficult circumstances i still believe i saw the same fight as you. I had no sound (which could be a good thing) and 20 people screaming behind me and they were not even watching the fight. I see Bhop just level Cal in the first round and figure he would be able to do this all night long and all he does is pull a Ruiz. The sad part is that it starts right from the start. The low blows looked like BHop was using this to his advantage. I think the fight was close because it was so horrible. Not sure how Hopkins thinks he can win rounds with five punches a round. He always pulls the same stuff and that is to fight in the last five seconds. Calzaghe wasn't winning rounds Hopkins was just losing them. Its time to hang um up. The holding is just to much anymore. I like to see Pavlick and Calzaghe go at it. Now that would be a brawl.

I just tallied up my card and it was much closer than I thought...115-113, so if Hop wins rd 12 then it's a draw IMO. I think the deciding judge had it the same.

I agree w/all your comments sponge. Hop is a master of making fights ugly and close just like Ruiz but he really doesn't fight. I wouldn't pay 2 cents for that fcking garbage. Fans pay to see a fight and not this hustling bullsht. His time is done. Hopefully GBP won't promote another one of these shams.

I talked to Punchy about the undercard. What a fcking disgrace that was. I would have gone out to Vegas in a heartbeat had there been a couple of decnt undercard fights but I wasn't going to shell out 4 hund for that sht.

Undercard lol. I was wondering what happen to it. This is the first time i can remember when the main fight was the first and only fight on HBO. When i read your round by round i was laughing about your comments cause they were the same as mine. You say maybe Cal then you say Hopkins and then you say you are glad you are not judging the fight:mj07: . I had this sixteen year old kid sitting to the side of me asking me every round "who is winning" All i kept saying was "its even" I thought it was just easier to say that. I think Hopkins won the first round with the least amout of punches in the history of the sport but im sure he broke that record a little later in the fight. I really can't fault Calzaghe for looking bad. Who could look good going thru that mess?

I just watched this again and i thought it was a little closer then my original take. Calzaghe landed over 230 punches and i think i saw four of them. I really don't need to see him against Jones. Let him go fight Pavlick. Jones will throw about as many punches as Hopkins.

Why do people keep talking about Pavlik vs, Calzaghe? That fights not going to happen nor should anyone want it to happen. What weight class would it be at? 175?

Kelly's optimal fighting weight is 160 - thats where you should want to see him at because thats where he's his best. Even at that catch weight of 166 his power was somewhat diminished.

Calzaghe and Pavlik would not be close. Joe would win an easy UD. You wouldnt be seeing Kelly at his best. I know he is 6"3 but thats not the point. His best fighting weight is 160.
