I have been working out consistently for about a year. I just kept getting bigger, and finally, at 6'4" 255lbs, I decided to do something about it.

Current Status:
HT - 6'4"
WT - 225lbs

Diet: Pescatarian (fish and veggies)
Exercise: 3x a week

My routines:
-Exercise: I run or get on the elliptical for 30 minutes. Lifting is limited, but I do it after my cardio work.
-Breakfast: Oatmeal or yogurt with oats and fruit. Coffee.
-Lunch: Veggie burgers, veggie pizza, fish, or veggie sub. Fruit. Trail mix (nuts and raisins only).
-Dinner: Omelets, black bean nachos, stir fry, shrimp, potato based dishes (Indian), veggie pizza.
-Snacks: Cheese, peanuts, tortilla chips/salsa

I am doing a lot of things right. I eat mostly natural foods and rarely drink pop. Without question, my vice is drinking. On average, I drink a bottle of wine or 4 beers a night. That is a lot of calories, and it is what it is. I need to mix in some dry days, and I will probably start seeing more progress. The other issue is that I eat a lot of cheese. I love the stuff and eat more than I need to.

I don't have a specific goal in mind. I want to stay the course I have been on for the last year.

Good luck to everyone trying to improve their health.

I picked up P90 without the X today. Tomorrow it is hitting the rotation. I found a 90 day calendar with it gosh I hope I can keep up.

You'd think a fat kid would want to keep his gym membership put today went in and canceled it $67 a month, in the last 12 months I probably went 12 times. Burning cash.

Tony Horton better work or I'm going to be doing a lot of walking outside in the cold Chicago winter.

255? Damn Gary! Best of luck Frank and remember don't get frustrated if the tapes leave you in the dust.

I'm feeling the same way about low energy and strength first week back myself.

Best of luck fellas!

Was supposed to have the stress test today, instead it was just a consult.

Cardiologist didn't share anything I didn't know, so not sure why the consult?? )I think scheduling made an error!) Family practice knew I was in the industry in pharma (cardiovascular) but maybe the process.

I am having the Nuclear (Thallium) Stress Test done next week. Wedneday and Thursday.

Around 5:20PM yesterday, my body decided to go it's own weight loss plan. I was sick and had some bug. I lost 10 lbs with that crap! I haven't thrown up in 15+ years, and let me tell you that was violent!!!

Today I was week, but could have done the test, if it wqas scheduled. LOL! I wore shorts to the appt, so I got some looks! Only 28 degrees today!

"the bunker"
reading all this health related info on the forum of late,i statrted looking around for more healthy alternatives...

found a sprouted multi-grain NO SALT bread(no added oil,no added sugar,no flour and the carbs were quite low for a bread product).....from a company called alvarado st bakery....

needed a snack in the evening so i put a half a teeaspoon of promise "activ"veg. oil spread("cardiologist endorsed...clinically proven to remove cholesterol...55% leass fat",etc...lol)...

and i have to say,it was amazing...delicious...substantial...satisfying...

i don`t know why all these vendors have the knee jerk reaction to saturate every product on the market with salt....

i can honestly say it was the best loaf bread i`ve ever eaten....

has to stay in the fridge(i guess because it isn`t loaded with preservatives)...

it actually "tasted" healthy(i don`t know how to quantify that...maybe i psyched myself into thinking that)... ..but,it did...

obviously,it pays to check around...

I had to search to find this....

I weighed in today at 223. I feel good about it as my previous weigh in was really about 225 and had on more clothes today.

So approx. two pounds in the last two weeks...

I'll take it.

Frank, buddy, where's your update?

Good job Woodson. Thanks for keeping me accountable.

I've been sick and sick and sick some more. Sick from the 27th to the 10th. My mom came down to look over my grandma who just found she had cancer. Two days in she gets a horrible virus, a day later I get it and all I do is throw up or shit for two days (graphic sorry). This month has been horrible, haven't even thought of getting into the office for the most part of the month

I've worked out 5 days and I feel good now. P90 is out of my league. I've been walking and eating a lot lighter.

I wouldn't say exercise and food has led to my results and more being sick but I got on the scale today

Jan 1: 309
Jan 20: 302.6

I'll take it but I expect more of myself. I really just want to be healthy.

Congrats on your success. Keep trucking...

Jack,

Can you describe your calorie intake and exercise? I thought I remembered you saying you were doing 1500 and an hour of walking with some cheats. Is that still accurate?

Impressive

Just a maximum of 1500 calories per day with no exercise yet, and no cheating this time. Except for the 3 day break I'm taking this weekend.
