Down to 347, so I will take it!

However, driving home I got a call today from my dermatologists that a mole removed last week had some cells that were abnormal, and had abnormal cell growth.

Didn't call it cancer, but I have to go back in next friday and have a 40 minute "surgery" that si what tehy called it anyway. To make sure they get all of the tissue. Then a compression bandage for at least a couple of days! Sounds like fun! Any prayers can be said for this btw!!! ;)

Stress test, completion of anyway as today they did the resting nuclear medicing pictures was ok I guess. Tech said no real issues from what he could see, but the docs will get back to me in a coule of days!

There is the update for this week!

Above the Clouds....
Been working out everyday since Jan 4th. (skipped 2 days to rest up).

8 miles on bike
5 sets each of...
weight work, crunches, toe touching, twists etc.

Starting weight 230..now 222

Feel better but not sleeping? I get up at 6am and i'm up till midnite. Seems like I lay there for an hour before I fall asleep? Suggestions?

I weighed in today at 223. I feel good about it as my previous weigh in was really about 225 and had on more clothes today.
Frank, buddy, where's your update?

I weighed at lunch and came in right at 220. I'm avg about 2 pounds a week now which feels pretty good. A LOT more energy this week and I think the 5 pounds psychologically got me motivated today.

The nutrition continues and I've found vegetables and fruits that I enjoy eating so I've customized the belly off program a little bit.

Also, I have 1 night a week that I eat what I want not to get burned out.

Still January and down 5 pounds. Feeling pretty good. :D

was 345 this morning, and I got results from the Cardiolite stress test that say, "I am good to go!" Great news, so I am starting lightly on my workout programs with the same guy I had posted a few months back.

Less weights this time to start, and more cardio.

Great to see you guys having it work for you. Imagine the positive results for the year if we all keep with it! :00hour

Had mole and cells removed Friday. Larger than expected. Inch and a half by one inch. Got admit I was grossed out by the cutting and tugging and the stitches being put in... on lower right hand side of back.

Never had a cut in me, much less stitches from a minor procedure.. but felt gross! Now if I could have watchedit, it would have been a different story, as then I would have thought that was cool!

LOL!

Waiting for those results to come back that all of it is gone!

Where do I start?
I went to the doc because of pressure from the girlfriend and family.
I clocked in at an all time high of 246 lbs.
The problem is I'm 5'9"
I carry it well and have always been thick, but I was in some type of good condition.
Last year was brutal, biz partner became a meth addict and destroyed our company and I basicly had to start over financially @ 43.
I guess the stress got to me and I let myself go.
Going for blood work in the morning. I know I have hypothyroid, but they need to adjust my med's, also cholesteral and triglycerides are high.
I've already changed my diet somewhat, but it's gonna be tough to give up the red meat.
I go back to the doc on feb 16th for a physical and to discuss my bloodwork..
That should be a real interesting conversation. lol
I have p90x, but it honestly seem's like a little much for me considering how overweight I am.
I need to get on some type of program quickly.
I 'm glad to see other people are addressing their health issues and will be checking in to see their updates and to provide some of mine.
Good Luck everybody and Good Health!

Not that tough to give up the red meat. You just have to choose to do it. We have done it for 2 years now and only have red meat about twice a year on special occasions and to be honest I could skip those days too. GL!

HELL
Guys, feel free to share some of that weight with me. I lost 27 pounds during my fiasco 1.5 years ago, currently at about 178. Stronger than probably 95% people that walk the street, but I guess it is tough to gain weight back when mine consists of liquid, ie VODKA for dinner tonight.

I didn't take the time to read through all of these threads, but will fire off a few suggestions I am sure that have been mentioned. I have worked out pretty hard and with heavy weight throughout the last say 10-12 years or so, therefore I might offer up a few things....

Losing weight...

Break meals up into 6 portions. Your carbs need to be early, not late, dinner should not be after 6 and keep it light. Drink water water and more water. Cardio. When working out, keep it to high reps lower weight, and don't rest or super set with another body part to help increase the heart rate and burn fat, keep moving to fatigue. Funny as it sounds, park far away or take stairs where you can. If you decide to have protein shakes, make sure it is lean protein, not the meal replacement shit as that is too loaded with calories and carbs.

Just wanted to do a quick update to keep me accountable and to see how others are doing.

I can honestly say that I am still a fat ass. Still working on it. Much like cigarettes or alcohol I can't seem to escape my addiction for fast foods or bread. These are my vices.

I'm still hovering at the same weight that I started and its mid February now.

Today I woke up got my shit together and drove to the gym, about a mile from the gym I was like hmmm McDonalds breakfast sounds good lets do that and go home. I gave in went to McDonalds pulled up to the drive thru and lady said they were serving lunch so I left.

That is how sad this food crap has become for me. I feel guilty for not sticking to my plan, for taking the drive there even though I ended up not getting anything.

On the drive home, I didn't stop at the gym but I did stop at the grocery store and bought a bunch of good healthy foods which is a positive. But my will is weak.

I'm a pretty happy person, always have been but this weight shit is pissing me off. I seem to live for each day and not for long term and I'm not sure how to change that.

Sorry for the rant. Just thought I should get it down. I'm fighting and will continue to. I hope everyone else is doing well and keeping the faith.

Seth
