Well, here we go. Let's confuse this thread with a few facts:

The USA has more guns per capita than any other country - 89 guns for every 100 people. That includes men, women and children. Our murder rate is 5 per 100,000 per year.

England gun ownership is 1.5 per 100. Their murder rate is .3 per 100,000.

So, we own 59 times as many guns as England, and our murder rate is 17 times higher.

Those are facts, as in FACTS.

Now how about one of you "more guns make us safer" people explain why we are much less safe than the Brits?

I'll make it easy for you. If only law enforcement and the military had guns, how many gun deaths would there be?

The Brits have very few guns, ans at least as much freedom as we do. So take your 2nd Amendment as shove it up where the sun don't shine.

BTW, I am not a gun grabber. I own four guns and fire several thousand rounds per year., but I do not own a pistola or an AR15, and I don't need or want either.

Move to Great Britain.

TIA

What is your solution? Don?t sell guns? Confiscate then all? Less psychoactive drugs prescribed? How do you curb these sickening mass shootings?

I say mandatory death sentence if convicted

So, your solution is a mandatory death sentence for a person who is likely going to kill themselves in the process of the crime anyway?

What's your proposed sentence for prostitutes? Fuck em in the ass?

Eventually this senseless loss of life will strike inside those blinded walls of stupidity .

And those who are not stricken will be shattered and they to will taste the blood.

Then they will have to ask themselves how much longer can they put up with stupidity?

Easier to bury your neighbors daughter than your own.

All you morons who think owing a gun makes you a tough guy have failed to explain to me why it works in every other country, but won't work here. The reason you haven't is because there is no reason and you just fight to hang on to an outdated premise that isn't relevant today because it makes you feel tough.

Where was your god Saturday morning?

I'm sure you will come up with some theologically correct bullshit, just know that that bullshit is to satisfy yourself, not me.

Where you at Hedgie? I asked you a question and you seem to only be able to respond with a meme of another politician (at the end of the day Washington was really just another politician). A politician who lived in another time who's thoughts aren't relevant today.

You see Washington suggested the people own guns to protect themselves should the government go sideways. In that time it could happen because the government was just a handful of people and if they decided to pursue their own interests above that of the people the people could rise up against them and take matters into their own hands.

It was our very first form of checks and balances.

Today, not so much. The government does what it wants, when it wants and how it wants regardless of the guns you own. Has your little pop gun stopped one tax from being raised? Did your guns stop Obamacare from becoming legal? Stop one law from being changed? What are your guns protecting from as far as our own government goes?

"Well, when they come for me I'll be ready!" Ready for what? Have you seen our military? What good are your little pop guns gonna do when they "come for you"?

I'm sure you are one of those "they can take my guns when they pry them from my cold dead hands" people. I hope when they "come for you" they find your offer acceptable, otherwise I imagine you give up your guns when told, should that day come.

The only purpose your guns serve today is to allow access to idiots who shoot up schools or churches or some other public place, that's it.

So I'd still like an answer as to why gun control works in other countries and it wouldn't work in ours and I'd like to know exactly what part of the government you think you are protecting yourself from as George Washington suggested?

I honestly expect zero answers from you.

Regarding the massacre on Saturday morning, I don't have anything to say that is theologically correct. Nor does anyone else that I know of that is a follower of Jesus Christ. An unexpected horror becoming more and more frequent in our "civilized" society. But I'd imagine every tribe, nation, kindred and tongue has asked your same question.

Some time ago, our Pastor shared this personal experience with the congregation. I think you'll understand.

When he was a young Pastor, he was called to be with parents at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh who had just lost their little boy to an incurable disease. The grief was uncontrollable. The tears...Well, you get the picture. He did what he could which, he said, "Wasn't much." What does one say? If anything.

A while later, he leaves Children's and heads over to the Allegheny County Jail for a scheduled weekly bible study. He enters the jail, and as he's walking down the hall bible in hand, an inmate locked in his cell begins to curse him up one side and down the other because of his pastoral identity. Just a proliferation of filth.

Further down the hall, he pauses and asks God, " Why would you take the life of young, innocent child and allow this piece of human garbage to continue breathing?."

He never got an answer.

Bingo. However there are two possible answers, maybe three.

A. God doesn't give a shit one way or another.

B. God doesn't exist.

C. God is really Satan.

Okay Buddy, pick one.
