Round 1 plays (2pts):

Kevin Na to beat Charley Hoffman -102 @ Pinnacle [also available @ 5Dimes and The Greek]
Na has played very well since March and finished 27th on this course in 2010. Hoffman hasn't finished ahead of Na since early April and in his four Open Championships, he has finished 35th-mc-mc-67th. It appears that he does not play particularly well on links courses, so the edge should be with the player who has far more experience of golf courses outside North America.

Great call on Na over Hoffman. Easy winner!

for rd 2, playing:

Fowler -115 vs Rose

Rickie outplayed Justin in the 1st round but simply could not get a putt to drop - if the conditions are as bad as they are expecting tomorrow morning think this will favor Fowler as well

good luck, and see you at @ 3:30 am CST

Outrights....

Casey + 5000

Scott +3300

Think with weather coming in could make this anyone's ball game...These two can handle it as well as anyone at this point and the price seems right for me...

Gl Madjacker's.....

Round 3 plays (2pts):

Dustin Johnson to beat Danny Willett -134 @ 5Dimes [available generally]
It's been a long time since Willett finished his 2nd round and that is a long time for him to reflect on being in this position in a Major for the first time. Johnson may have trouble winning Majors, but this looks to be one that he really should win from this position.

Hideki Matsuyama to beat Steven Bowditch -144 @ 5Dimes [available generally]
Huge difference in class between these two: Matsuyama has finished ahead of Bowditch in 9 of their last 10 common events and finished 6th in this event two years; Bowditch missed the cut in his only previous appearance in this event so looks far less likely to remain in the top-15.

Zach Johnson to beat Marc Warren +100 @ SkyBet
As with Willett, I think there will be a lot of pressure on these two players who lead the home challenge alongside Paul Lawrie. With Warren, his recent form suggests that he may not have the ball control to cope under that pressure - he has missed the cut in his last two events - and the difference in form is very large - Johnson has finished 6th and 3rd in his last two events.

Jason Day to beat Robert Streb -127 @ 5Dimes [available generally]
Another rather one-sided matchup - Day holds a 8-2-1 h2h lead over Streb over the past 12 months - and the Australian has a particularly good record in Majors, so I am more confident that he will remain in the top-5 when Streb has yet to finish in the top-40 in a Major.

Matt Kuchar to beat Bernhard Langer -175 available generally
For all that Langer is dominant on the Champions Tour, this is his first cut made in the Open Championship since 2005. Kuchar looks particularly comfortable with links golf last week when finishing 2nd in the Scottish Open and there should always be value in these odds when it is #15 in the World Rankings vs. #777.

Pepperell played out of his mind. Well at least until he hit the roof of the building off the tee. Lol. I'm on Johnson as a big dog vs Scott.
