Graeme Mcdowell -135 over Quiros
GMAC is now officially in 'Masters Mode' as he takes a break from tournament golf this week to work on his game and practice at Augusta National ahead of the season?s first Major.
First, Graeme will practice for a few days at his home in Lake Nona, while also playing nearby Isleworth, where McDowell performed so admirably at last week?s Tavistock Cup.
The greens at Isleworth are particularly fast, and as close to the lightning pace of their Augusta counterparts. McDowell will then play 36 holes at the Masters venue before returning to Florida for a few days rest ahead of the big event.
"It was obviously very disappointing to miss the cut at Bay Hill," said Graeme after his disastrous finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week, "but it was just one of those days, I will block it out, and take the positives forward for the Masters."
Graeme endured a nightmare ? bogey, quadruple bogey ? finish to miss the cut by two shots at Bay Hill. He had one of those frustrating rounds where birdies came freely, but so too did the bogeys. Graeme picked up three birdies in his opening seven holes ? but dropped shots quickly followed at the eighth and ninth. GMAC was two under, five off the lead, before the disastrous final two holes. After a bogey on the par-three 17th, he took eight shots on the par-four final hole.
He continued, "I have been playing very well, but my putter particularly let me down at Bay Hill - I left too many out there. Still, I was playing well enough to be in the hunt until the 18th on Friday, but that was just one of those holes that you like to forget!
"Generally I am very happy with my game, as I have put a lot of work in the last few months. It's on to Augusta now, where I have performed well in the past. It's a special venue, special event, and I'm just looking forward to getting out there."
At the 2009 Masters, GMAC finished as 'Best European' in a tie for 17th place. For more information,
