Graeme Mcdowell -135 over Quiros

GMAC is now officially in 'Masters Mode' as he takes a break from tournament golf this week to work on his game and practice at Augusta National ahead of the season?s first Major.

First, Graeme will practice for a few days at his home in Lake Nona, while also playing nearby Isleworth, where McDowell performed so admirably at last week?s Tavistock Cup.

The greens at Isleworth are particularly fast, and as close to the lightning pace of their Augusta counterparts. McDowell will then play 36 holes at the Masters venue before returning to Florida for a few days rest ahead of the big event.

"It was obviously very disappointing to miss the cut at Bay Hill," said Graeme after his disastrous finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week, "but it was just one of those days, I will block it out, and take the positives forward for the Masters."

Graeme endured a nightmare ? bogey, quadruple bogey ? finish to miss the cut by two shots at Bay Hill. He had one of those frustrating rounds where birdies came freely, but so too did the bogeys. Graeme picked up three birdies in his opening seven holes ? but dropped shots quickly followed at the eighth and ninth. GMAC was two under, five off the lead, before the disastrous final two holes. After a bogey on the par-three 17th, he took eight shots on the par-four final hole.

He continued, "I have been playing very well, but my putter particularly let me down at Bay Hill - I left too many out there. Still, I was playing well enough to be in the hunt until the 18th on Friday, but that was just one of those holes that you like to forget!

"Generally I am very happy with my game, as I have put a lot of work in the last few months. It's on to Augusta now, where I have performed well in the past. It's a special venue, special event, and I'm just looking forward to getting out there."

At the 2009 Masters, GMAC finished as 'Best European' in a tie for 17th place. For more information,

Anyway,
Picks to win are Poulter, Adam Scott, Mcdowell and Kuchar

Wow Poulter +115 over Casey has a lot of value (still thinking about it)

Went with Allenby -105 over Singh

Roberts ball striking is always great, and even with years past of poor putting hes done well here; If he can make putts he should at least top 20. Vijay, well ya never know.

"It was just because I slept on it awkwardly," revealed Casey. "I've had lots of treatment and it feels fine now. It was a schoolboy error but after what happened to me last year I wasn't going to take any chances."

Where did you find this? Casey was who I had an interest in for this event.

Thoughts on this prop???

Will Tiger make an eagle or better?

Yes -110
No -110

Assuming he makes the cut...we've got 16 chances to squek out one eagle.

Looks too easy.

I'll have to go back and look at his numbers, but I would lean to no. He's rusty. You have to figure he'll drive it pretty wild half the time. I think one of the par 5's is pretty tough. So maybe he'll have six shots at hitting the green in two?

Where is this prop?

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Tiger's iconic ascension among his peers and a few billion sports fans, give or take a billion, had involved few significant missteps. Without warning and in painfully personal detail, the charm has worn off, and all the the comfortable cocoons The Striped One so carefully wove have been ripped away, not too different than the feeling of having his most prized posession stolen right out of his clutching arms. In light of recent developments, a fairly creepy, cold and flawed protagonist has now been laid bare before the knowing glare of those billions of sets of eyes of his peers and interested observers. With the matters occupying his mind since Thanksgiving, the nuts and bolts of competitive rust are merely a corollary that fill out the painting.

If the Freak from Windermere can now emerge from his humiliation and seclusion and flip the switch that taps into whatever zen like equanimity only he posseses inside the ropes to chase him across the finish line (needing only the benefit of the fact that the atmosphere of Augusta National is far removed from Bethpage Black), IMO it will be the most stunning achievement of his already stunning career, and IMO would be more remarkable than a 60 game hitting streak by Paul Molitor or Pete Rose, or a 59 year old Tom Watson winning the British Open, or a Tiger Slam.

I guess it's worth noting that Tiger's odds are 1/50th of those for Lucas Glover to win last year's U.S. Open. I don't care if Tiger was made even money to win the Masters, I can't succeed in explaining the Grand Canyon that would separate the two feats to someone that looks to the oddsmaker as some sort of relevant barometer.

This is Chapter Two, Page Zero. "I told him, 'I promise you one thing: You'll never meet another person as tough as you.' He hasn't. And he won't." ~ Earl Woods

*********************

I confess my takes can be somewhat cryptic to decipher, so I'll recap . . .

I repeatedly offer that assessment from Earl Woods as a hypothesis for testing, not as a proven fact . . . Tiger will need to dip into his reservoir of something close to that level of toughness as he eventually emerges with the 5 more majors he needs to get to the pinnacle he's been pursuing for 34 years. But if Tiger, raw and badly cut, brushes everything aside and just waltzes into this uncharted terrain and stomps on the throats of all his peers like it was 2008, and the next bit of chatter heading toward Pebble Beach and St. Andrews is talk about a Grand Slam, then I think the hypothesis will have never aced a clearer test. Certainly stuff of the caliber to cement his position as the freak for the ages.

Tiger Woods will not win the Masters. Or not.

This is just like any other betting week, right? Nope, this is special. Everything is out of whack. The books, the props, the volume, the media, the hype, the whole thing. Is it easier to win? No. It's just like any other week in this respect. It's still hard to win. Checking back, I had last 5 years, 3 winning, and 2 losing. None for big numbers. The Masters is just fun, like the Indy 500 is fun.

The final group this week are D. Johnson 65-1, Stricker 30-1, Furyk 42-1, villegas 42-1, and super longshot Merrick 560-1. All Betfair, Monday night. I like Merrick. He wouldn't be in this group if I didn't. Live dog surely. On a value basis, my pick to win the Masters is----

Villegas to win 41.00 sia

I think Camilo is better than McIlroy, better than Ryo, better than Kim, Dustin, Scott, all the Wilsons and Fishers, everyone else from England including Poulter, better than Mick right now and 100 times better than Boo.

There, that ought to start some shit. Good luck to all, this and every week

72 holes

Furyk over Poulter +100
Swartzel over Watney -110

I don't know why Furyk is the underdog to Ian. They have each won this year and both are hot as hell right now. Furyk, however, played more and better Masters.

Swartzel won some money for me last week and I paid attention to his game, which impressed me wholely. Watney, a local boy for me, is going to be one of the best journeymen you ever saw. Another Chris DiMarco, if you will. Swartzel is kind of an unknown, and a great pick when playing office match/ups. "I saw this match-up the other day, a guy named Swartzel against Leonard. Who do you like here? Leonard? OK, I'll take the new guy. 50 bucks ok? OK, we got a bet. Don't forget. 72 holes."

I fully realize that Tiger is super human, but I just can't see how some off this doesn't distract him.
Having said that, I'm sure he will now win it by 12 strokes and I will be pulling for my Place and Show tickets.

Kim 30-1 Win, 15-1 Place, 7 1/2 Show

Poulter 30-1 Win, 15-1 Place, 7 1/2 Show

Dustin Johnson 50-1 Win, 25-1 Place, 12 1/2 Show

Chad Campbell 70-1 Win, 35-1 Place, 17 1/2 Show

Marino 70-1 Win, 35-1 Place, 17 1/2 Show

----------------------------------------------------------------------

"TO WIN ONE OF THE 4 MAJORS THIS YEAR"

Villegas 8-1

Kim 10-1

Poulter 10-1

D Johnson 12 1/2 to 1

C Campbell 25-1

Best of luck to all of you! My favorite week of the year, where my wife gives me a very long leash and doesn't get in my way about anything!:00hour
