First one for tomorrow

Man U Ov 2.5 -130 - Any reason to get off this train right now? Thought about Man U -1, but I like the Over better, especially at 2.5 as I think New Castle will score.

West Ham -110 - Not one of my favorites teams to bet as they are certainly a jekyl and hyde team. I love playing B&H at home, but never on the road. They have a very hard time getting results on the road so I will take the short price with West Ham and pray they bring their A game.

Thursday

Man City +103 - I know it is the obvious play and it is tough to go against Liverpool right now, but this is Man City's season. History is already not on their side as the team leading at Boxing Day almost always wins the league, but if they go 10 points down I think they are done. Should be a great game and I will bet that Man City makes the league interesting for the rest of the season.

Good luck, surprisingly west ham seems to play better away. They?ve never really played well at home since the move to the new stadium..

I know. Any play at home with them is risky, but it is more a play against B&H's away form, especially after two strong performances at home.

Very new to betting on soccer. Should I be using Asian odds?
Thanks

I use Asian lines from time to time but I usually do not post them.

For instance, I will use the Asian line tomorrow on Man City since I think they will not lose but a tie is a possibility, so I will play -.25 -130 versus Even money so I get half my money back if it is a draw.

I use it the most often on -.25 and -1.25 bets, especially if I am making a larger bet. Same for over/unders.

I would pull down the Asian handicap charts from the internet and get used to how they work so you can get comfortable with them. It is not very complicated, but it is different and takes a little time to get used to.

That is a brief answer without getting into the math. I used to get caught up in all the math and look for the best situations between the lines and asian lines, but I do not do that anymore as you can drive yourself nuts. For me it is simply a situational play where I want to make it a bigger play but have some downside protection that I am willing to pay for.

One thing that is different betting soccer is that you can not be afraid of the juice as there will be a lot of situations where you simply have to lay it like a big money line play in football where you simply think the team will not lose. As such, sometimes I will prefer to lay more juice in an Asian bet to protect half my bet if their is a draw. I will also have a few plays during the year (almost always national team games in meaningful spots) where I will lay -250+ for larger money.

Happy to answer questions if you have more. Otherwise I can go on and on.

Yeah, Crook I made the wrong choice in that game. Should have stuck with the -1, but if Lukaku simply puts that last chance in it is a winner.

Yep. Bason gives good advice, me personally i think ive bet the Asian line 10 times in my life. I usually do separate bets for myself just because that?s what I?m comfortable with and have success doing it ( why change lol ) like Bason said there are situations when you have no choice because of options being limited .. good luck with what you decide

Wasn't easy but it was a big winner!

I am not posting any of the Cup games. No need to as Kid has been killing it in the Cup, so I will just ride along with him.

That was a waste. Just do not pay any attention if I post anything in the Cup games. I just suck at it. That is Kid's world.

No need to post much for now (and I am usually quiet when Germany is on break) as Kid is just killing it, so just following him right now, but I do like one today in the Championship:

Leeds Ov 2.5 -130 - Derby struggles defensively so hoping for at least 3 today.

Just starting to get back into the swing of things.

I just can not avoid playing this tomorrow:

Heerenveen +2.5 -110 - Maybe I am getting sucked into this, but they just played a few days ago to a 4-4 draw. Ajax is battling hard for the league title and still is in the Champions League, so I am not sure about their motivation here. They have a tough road game at Feyenord this weekend and have Real coming up in the CL. They may even rest a couple players. This is Heerenveen's season. They have to feel confident after coming back from a 3-1 halftime deficit and getting the draw late in the game. Its a bit of a risk as Ajax is by far the better team, but I am counting on Ajax just trying to do what they have to to win. If Heerenveen can stay away from giving up early goals, I feel really good about their chances to cover this number.

I like it ! I had similar thoughts about risk going against Ajax so I settled in just the TT. Good luck
