ALL stupid people should shut up.

But, looking at the track record, it would appear throughout the history of stupidest things ever said, the majority of them come from the left. The right makes some dumb statements, but they seem to not spout off nearly as much or as irresponsibly as the left.

How's that old saying go?

Better to keep your mouth shout and let people think you are a dumb@ss, than open it up and prove them right.

My personal opinion on it all, its not about party lines, its about people making @sses of themselves in public forums. Its annoying and I am sick of hearing it on a daily basis.

I dont hate em cuz they are on one side of the line or the other, I hate em cuz they are annoying and assinine.

Is everything to you a left vs right?

actually up until about 3 weeks ago if you made a left vs right comment I would have laughed at you. Because it never really matters, we are all shooting for the same end result. But, since the celebrities are making it out to be a left vs right issue, well, so be it.

This is everybody's war. And being everyones war, everyone has a right to comment on it without organized repracussions. I just wish our friends on the Right realized that.

Great, so tell the hippies in San Fran and NYC to stop shutting down the city with their organized repracussions.

For once we agree Marine. This adminestration has us in so many battles that our police and National Guard cannot be used to watch over either War Protest or War Rallies. But don't worry Haliburton can always get the contract to clean up the mess.

LOL.....Halliburton....

only contract they have is to fight fires in Iraq.....great job and i bet everyone would want that right now!!!

Halliburton didn't get bid to help rebuild Iraq....not even in the finalists...but the left LOVES to demonize ANY American business....so nevertheless it makes for a great soundbite

what do you mean "so far"....

Halliburton is OUT of the bidding for Iraqi Oil reconstruction....get that into your head.....

Boots and Coots from Houston are about the only oil well fire fighting company in the world

if you know of another one, let me know....

this is a great example of how an insinuation can get out of control......liberals still will cling to the theory that Cheney has all these dealings with Halliburton and that is the reasoning behind the war....when in fact, they are out of the picture completely.....

probably showed a bit of interest in the rebuilding as any oil company would, and all of a sudden you have this out of control left wing blitz....and even after the fact, they still use the same insinuations...

get over it dude....its a dead issue and never really in fact was an issue...but you hate conservatism, business, the free market, and our president so nonetheless the onslaught continues...

Houston company won't get contract
Halliburton off list for rebuilding Iraq
By DAVID IVANOVICH
Copyright 2003 Houston Chronicle Washington Bureau
WASHINGTON -- Halliburton Co. is not among the finalists for a $600 million government contract to help rebuild Iraq.

The Houston-based engineering, construction and oil-field service giant has been culled from a short list of companies bidding to repair Iraq's roads, bridges, schools and other public facilities after the war, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Agency for International Development confirmed Friday.

The federal government had solicited bids from five U.S. firms for the contract. Reports that Halliburton was on the list for a major role in the war reconstruction had created a political uproar, since Vice President Dick Cheney once ran the company.

Two firms are still in the running for the contract, USAID spokeswoman Ellen Yount said. She declined to identify the finalists.

It remained unclear late Friday whether Halliburton had submitted a bid.

Halliburton Charges Into Iraq
Tuesday March 25, 12:06 pm ET
By Jeff Fischer

A division of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL - News) named Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to work in Iraq. The size of the contract was not disclosed, but estimates put it near $1 billion.

Calm down Dr. I hope this makes you feel better, I know it's only one billion but the war just started!

Now as for me, how do you jump to the conclusion that I want a Marxist state? You are the one who thinks it is ok to organize against people who speak their mind and don't agree with you. I am all for free speech!

I just don't like it when someone uses the public airways to organize a boycott against someone for having a political thought they don't agree with.
