When did I say you couldn't organize? I said I did not like the public airways used as a vehicle for your boycott.

Wow I think that I just had an acid flashback?

I don't think that I have heard the word radical in the way StevieD did since the chicago 7 days. Stevie, are you one of those hippies that I heard about from the 60's(LOL).

I just don't like it when someone uses the public airways to organize a boycott against someone for having a political thought they don't agree with.

whoa nelly, hold the phone here big guy.

But its ok for the the protestors to use the media, newspaper ads, flyers, public address systems, celebrities in a public forum, and numerous other means, to organize boycotts, walkouts, layind down in the street and shutting down cities, because... and this is the real kicker here...
they dont agree with the government.

so the gov and these "peace"protestors disagree on political thoughts. But its ok for the peace protestors to rally and stir the pot but not the government backers?

Marine, you seem like a pretty smart guy. I have said many times in these threads that I do not think we should be holding organized protests or rallies! I don't know how I can say it any clearer. I do not agree with the war protestors or with those holding pro war rallies.
What I did say was I do not think it is right for any boycott of a public figure for speaking a political opinion, should be organized over the public airways. That means I don't think The Spin Dr. O'Reilly should do it nor do I think Oprah should do it.

Here is a portion of an article in the KC Star this morning pertaining to the reconstruction of Iraq.

KBR, the world's second-largest oil services company, was picked last week to snuff the fires because it already had a contingency plan as part of a 10-year Pentagon logistics contract it was awarded in 2001, company officials said. The actual hot work is being subcontracted to Boots & Coots International Well Control Inc. and Wild Well Control Inc.

Looks like B and C is still kickin.

What that article doesn't say is that yes they did all ready have a contract signed but that award, in November of 2002, was never put out to bid.

LOL.....Halliburton....

only contract they have is to fight fires in Iraq.....great job and i bet everyone would want that right now!!!

Halliburton didn't get bid to help rebuild Iraq....not even in the finalists...but the left LOVES to demonize ANY American business....so nevertheless it makes for a great soundbite

Not bad for a guy who never left the Northeast according to some of the pundits on this board. BINGO we have a winner!

The fact that halliburton has the contract at this point doesn't mean anything.A little research is needed( how they got the contract) before we can start criticizing the process.
