There is a significant difference between people dying because they can't afford medicine and people being taken care of by the gov't simply because they are too lazy to go to work.

Your definition of handout might be more than mine. Healthcare and a living wage is not a hand out. If people aren't disabled and don't want to work they don't deserve much but do deserve to be treated like a human.
Thirty years ago you could work almost any job and put a roof over your head. That isn't the case anymore and that needs to change.
Guess what? If you worked at McDonald's 30 years ago, you were living with mom and dad. Just like today. If all you aspire to is being the bare minimum, then fuck you. Enjoy your nothingness.
I completely disagree. If you are healthy and able to work and simply choose not to then those of us who do work should not pay for your handout, even if it "isn't much". Starve to death for all I care.
