While I think Applyby is still the way to go to win lots of money in this tournament, here is what I have for the 3rd round.

Laying 1.250 units to win 1 unit on S. Stricker over A. Cabrera

Now once again for the impossible in round 3:

Laying .5 unit to win 40.105 units parlay on
Cink, Stricker, Singh, Appleby, Austin, Stenson, Choi, and Woods.

Good luck:00hour

THIRD ROUND MATCHUPS:

BYRD vs STENSON
THE PLAY: JONATHON BYRD +125
The only guy to win me anything in round 2 and now getting him at quite a good price. Byrd playing very well this week.

AUSTIN vs WEEKLEY
THE PLAY: BOO WEEKLEY -130
This guy has no idea how Match Play even works as shown in his interview he didn't even know about conceding putts. Weekley is very laid back and I think that helps here, match play is so much more mental and if Weekley can remain calm and avoid a bad stretch he could be a real threat this week.

STRICKER vs CABRERA
THE PLAY: STEVE STRICKER -125
I hate Cabrera... I can't wait utnil he loses! Good enough reasoning? for me yes it is.

WOODS vs BADDELEY
THE PLAY: AARON BADDELEY +300
Worth a shot on Badds if you ask me... Maybe he has the short game that can put heat on Tiger. Won't be shocked if Tiger rolls as he is very hot but getting a great player like Badds at +300 in match play where anything can happen is to hard to pass up.

CASEY vs CHOI
THE PLAY: PAUL CASEY -105
KJ's struggle to close out Poulter in the 2nd round is enough to scare me away and take Casey who is quietly having a very solid week.

APPLEBY vs LEONARD
THE PLAY: STUART APPLEBY -110
Just look at the way he is playing, that is explanation enough.

SINGH vs PAMPLING
THE PLAY: ROD PAMPLING +125

Round 3 plays (1pt):

Stewart Cink to beat Colin Montgomerie -120 @ SkyBet, VCbet and Paddy Power
Monty made heavy work beating a poor Howell yesterday - he was over-par to the turn and yet was leading the match. Cink has been far more impressive this week and deserves to be the favourite in this match

Steve Stricker to beat Angel Cabrera -111 @ ToteSport
Cabrera was taken to the penultimate hole by a player who was over-par yesterday in perfect scoring conditions. And while Stricker has been taken to extra holes in each of the last two rounds, it has been because of his opponents have been playing well - he has shot 67-65. Cabrera should be an easier opponent

Boo Weekly to beat Woody Austin +105 @ Five Dimes
Six-under-par against Garcia yesterday without even knowing the rules of matchplay; Weekley is quite an unbelievable character and looks set to be a surprise chalenger for this title and should beat his inferior opponent today

May have more plays near the start of the 3rd round.

I am thinking that the Baddeley match from yesterday should have been considered a win, b/c Toms didn't w/d he conceded the match here is the rule according to the PGA:

Rule 2--4 (Match Play - Concession of Match, Hole or Next Stroke) of the USGA Rules of Golf states the following: "A player may concede a match at any time prior to the start or conclusion of that match."

Based on Rule 2-4, Toms "conceded" his match to Baddeley. This is an important distinction as it is considerably different from a "withdrawal" from the event. This is a nuance of match-play competitions versus stroke-play competitions. In conclusion, with Toms having conceded his match, he is entitled to receive $90,000 official prize money as well as 262 FedExCup points as a loser of a second-round match.

I am sure the book will say it won't matter because he didn't tee off, but it's worth a shot.

Cabrera is beating the DEVIL out of STRICKER right now... dang, he was 4 up and DROVE THE GREEN at the 343 #12. He didn't roll it on, he FLEW it! :scared He lipped the cup on the eagle attempt and then STRICKER missed from like 8 feet to lose another. Down 5 with 6 to go... not good.
