When did the political forum become the be all here at Madjacks:shrug:
I used to go to the general forum to see funny posts and have some fun.....Now we have the honor of reading "want to be politicians" telling us what news we should watch, how stupid we are, where to visit on vacations and wonder why there are not many or any new posters on this site. Who died and left you guys in charge???? The political BS needs to stay down in the shitter where it belongs so you guys can jack off when you find that you are correct on an issue.....

DTB- I have a lot of respect for your service during war time as I never went to battle while in the USMC :0008

God forbid if Wayne's thread gets moved so I'm trying to hold off.

Actually, this is the first time I read this one, I was at granddaughter's 1st birthday party most of the day today.

I’ve been to both Alaska and Hawaii. What do you want to know?

Well........if you were going to spend some time in Alaska, where in Alaska would you go? And for the record.....I have zero interest in going on an Alaskan Cruise.

Thank for your service Betone. USMC were my heros. (my fav memory) I volunteered for draft with the help of a judge. Everyone was scared of marines training as it was known as toughest/paris island etc) and they could not get enough volunteers. So they when down the line of draftees and every 3rd person in line was going to marines. Everyone was trying to count and shuffling so in hopes they could avoid marines. was quite funny. INHO You all were men among men and have my utmost respect.

I have also been to Alaska and Hawaii.....
In Alaska I would recommend the area around Alyeska Ski resort which is a short drive from Anchorage along Hwy 1. The Summer was beautiful with salmon filled streams everywhere if you are into fishing. The ski resort is dated a tad but everything is in Alaska. I would visit only if you like outdoors stuff or snow skiing. Alaska is very depressing to me outside of the nature aspect. We did helicopter tour to glaciers where we rode sleds pulled by dogs...this was amazing. We also did a boat tour to see glaciers up close and such which was also amazing. There is some cool stuff to do....but once is enough for me.

Hawaii was more my speed if you ever want recommendations for that. We have been to Maui and Kauai which were both fabulous.
