article here on the whole debacle....this could be the last ppv for them

http://www.mmatorch.com/artman2/publish/Staff_Editorials_19/article_1824.shtml

edit: one mistake in the article....the Mosley-Margarito fight is on HBO, not PPV....still the head to head competition can't help Affliction

Nice article Ghost. I forgot all about them teaming up with Goldenboy. That is nice of Goldenboy to go up against them. Maybe they got on board just to bury them:shrug: . You think with Oscar experience with promoting he would have taught affliction something. I mean how hard could it be to promote a fight? If i didnt come to this site i wouldn't even know there was a affliction card.

Crazy thing is I heard today De La Hoya may be going to the Affliction card instead of the Boxing Match.

Wonder how that makes his "friend" and "partner" Sugar Shane feel.

How out of place is De La Puta gonna be at the Affliction card? Hilarious.

Not sure what Affliction thought Golden Boy would help with...but if its promotion for the event, they've sure done a crap job

If Affliction does fold, I hope the UFC picks Babalu back up... he's done his time, and i like to watch him. :0corn

Hope he and Belfort have good nights on Saturday and get invited back to UFC. There are some good fights for Belfort at 185.

Fedor round 1, just don't know how much I'll put on it. AA doesn't have the chin to hang with him. I've only seen Fedor in trouble once and it was when he was rocked by Hunt(and I mean rocked). AA's only chance is to jab, run and out point Fedor but I don't see that happening.

Also, I want Belfort to win but I know better after all these years. He's a good go against until he can prove he's back.

Babalu should win without a problem but the chance of a ko is always there.

I love this card! I'm as pumped for Fedor and AA as any fight I can imagine. I'm playing Fedor but hoping for a war.

Fedor was rocked and rocked badly against Fujita.

AA has a good right hand, but it's not easy to connect with Fedor... Fedor will throw and land 3-4 punches for every one of AA's. I dont pick many first round stoppages, but my prediction is Fedor will win in round 1. TKO or submission, whatever he wants...

Belfort does have some proving to do, but Lindland is in the same boat.

That Fujita fight was almost 6 years ago. Fedor is even better now. He did have Fedor reallllly rocked.

I don't expect Fedor to stand and exchange freely the whole fight with Arlovski. I expect this fight to go to the ground where Fedor is best.

Ah, wasn't thinking clearly. Raw you're correct in saying it was Fujita that rocked him.

Fedor is 366 right now, I'm not sure I'll get better than this but I'm still going to wait. If it moves up any at all I'll go ahead and bite but hopefully it will move down just a little more.

Devastating news........ Chris Horodecki not medically cleared for his fight against Dan Lauzon. I was really looking forward to that fight.

http://mmajunkie.com/news/13788/chris-horodecki-not-medically-cleared-for-saturdays-affliction-event.mma

:sadwave:

definitely disappointing...anybody know anything about the russkie fighting buentello?...i checked his record and wasn`t impressed...

might be looking for a par partner for buentello unless i get info indicating that he guy is better than it appears......

looks like he`ll stand in with buentello...
