"the bunker"
Paul will be somewhere around -300 or so vs. Gary.
I wouldn't count on 5Dimes sticking to +265.

It is still on the board at +275 so dont count on them honoring it.

i was dinging kick for his harsh treatment of me in the "picks" thread...

hoisting him by his own petard,so to speak....(no spongy,a petard is not a person who has no idea how to care for their pet.).....

I wonder if 5dimes changes the fight and puts odds on it. Just another winner to add to a parlay.

Gary Goodridge To Replace Aleksander Emelianenko at ?Banned?

* By: Kris Karkoski | Jul 18, 2008

Affliction Banned PosterUFC and PRIDE veteran Gary Goodridge will replace Aleksander Emelianenko against Paul Buentello at Affliction ?Banned? after Emelianenko failed to be licensed for the bout by the California State Athletic Commission for undisclosed reasons.

According to Sherdog.com Goodridge was ?already in California, licensed and expecting to fight in San Diego this weekend on a card that was cancelled?.

MMAJunkie.com is reporting that weigh-ins for the bout, which is slated to air on Fox Sports Net between 8pm ET and 9pm tomorrow evening prior to the pay-per-view card, will take place at 11am tomorrow.

Goodridge has lost three of his last five bouts.

His high end weight was around a lean 245 and when he started competing in drug tested events his weight dropped to around 220. It's possible that he didn't use AAS, but the likelihood of gaining that type of LBM while also following an MMA training routine is unlikely.

Ur right I wouldnt be surprised if he did in his college football days.. :SIB

Way to have things organized Affliction..

At least there is a replacement (albeit a crappy one).. judging by this article i read earlier, Buentello had no clue what was going on......... he wasnt even introduced at the weigh-in.

Team Coulture pulls out another one with a new and improve Vitor Belford. Soon as i heard Coulture was training him i knew he would be improved. Great card so far KIck. Saw the weigh in and you blew that way out of poportion. Plus having Goodridge sitting in the wings was a stroke of genius

Told you guys this car was a money maker. This was probably the most obvious card winner I've seen in a long time.

There were names on the fight, sure, but alot of the fights were so predictable IMO.

Card was ok......but as I said....way too many mismatches....but overall the card was good......but not even close to the "best card of all time" crap:nono:

oh and..........

ARLOVSKI IS BACK BABY

Can't wait when Fedor fights Arlovski or Randy......

oh and check this out:

"The swing bout between Justin Levens vs. Ray Lazama has been canceled. MMAWeekly.com was informed that due to time and the condition of the ring following the main event prevented the fight from happening. Affliction VP Tom Atencio told MMAWeekly.com that both fighters would be paid their show purse, plus the promotion would give them some kind of additional bonus."

.......that sucks for those two dudes, train all that time and you don't get to fight!

Well, yeah, that would suck. Depending on what they get paid, I guess it wouldn't be so bad knowing you're getting some $$ without having to fight.

I agree with you kick. I was gonna parlay 8 matches, but ended up only going with Lil Nog, Barnett, Arlovski, Fedor, Vitor, Babalu, Lindland. I wanted to take Aleks, but he had to bow out. So I hit a 7teamer. I wish I woulda bet more, but 20$ got me nice woppppp.

I almost went for the jugguler, but what the **** RUMBLE? Nothing more sickening then losing a fight like that when it was in the bag.....Oh wait, that's how I hit my last big parlay in MMA when Huerta pulled that TKO/KO over Guida haha.

GRuuuuuuuuuuuu8 night for me as far as $$$ wise. Sure as hell makes up for the poker beatings.

True.......I guess getting paid and not fighting isn't that bad. But I'd expect that both guys were mighty pissed off that they could not fight......unless they got 2 or 3 times more money then they'd have received if they in fact fought!

And is it just me, or is Barnett a tad over-rated, I just don't think that guy is a top 5 heavyweight.....maybe 10-15, but not top 5. If Arlovski fights him next he'll kill him:SIB

Arlovski....really enjoy watching him fight. Not sure what Dana did or didn't do, but tough to let this one go IMO.

Fedor, first time I watched him fight live in my brief 3 years of watching MMA. I have never seen someone go through Sylvia like that yet, sure Sylvia isn't great but nobody beat him like that. Really don't think Randy has a chance being 13 years older.

Barnett, a little cocky??

As for Megadeath, WHAT THE F*CK? Fedor was like get this shit off. If you are going to go that route with a Hard Rock Band, someone like Metallica would have been a better choice IMO.

Cant wait for the announcement of Fedor's next fight.. his manager said he wants to fight TWO more times this year! :00hour

They hyped Fedor/Couture at the end and the sooner that happens the better! Really dont see Fedor losing that one, though. :SIB

With that said, Barnett and Arlovski both had dominating performances, so maybe he'll face one of them to set up a New Years match with Couture.. Especially since Couture has legal bullchit still going on w/ UFC.......

I hate to say it,but Fedor would destroy Randy.

Tim is not THAT easy to submit. Just ask Randy as he had Tim in the EXACT same spot taking his back and WHAT HAPPENED: NOT MUCH.

I have questioned Fedor opponents of late as have others, but make no mistake about it: HE IS A BEAST!!
