the story so far 10-8
round 7 picks

Richmond vs Essendon-25.5
pick essendon -25.5
This should be a crackerjack game expect it to be tight until half time but i just feel that Richmond has been up for awhile and is due for a loss. The key to this match is Fletcher vs Richardson, Fletcher has been only in fair form this year and after lowering his colours to Wilson last week expect him to be primed for a big one.Ottens could prove a danger especially if he plays forward.Expect the johnson boys and hardwick to ruffle a few feathers early in this game epecially targetting Campbell and Daffy.Essendon to strong and to cover the line

st.kilda vs Hawthorn-18.5
pick Hawthorn-18.5
Although st.kilda won last week at times their skill errors were woeful and with a strong backline that takes alot of marks like Hawthorn's they will need to improve to impose a threat.Loosing aussie jones to injury will hurt as he was starting to play good football,Hamill will need to lift put a positive was gehrig, loewe and burke who were all fantastic, expecting a let down for the saints after the significance of last week.

Collingwood vs Kangaroos+13.5
pick Collingwood -13.5
Carey back should make a difference but Mckernan still proving to be a liability how much longer Pagan will put up with this is anyones guess.Pagan may look at some more players who are performing in the twos, but most are struggling to make the next step. There is a huge difference between the kangaroos elite six or seven players to the rest of the list. They need to find some speed through the midfield to shut collingwoods speedsters down.Buckley will no doubt get simpson but simpson has really struggled this year.Just feel the pies are match hardened after two big games and have a team that is not carrying any passengers.

Geelong vs Carlton-13.5
pick Carlton-13.5
Geelongs midfield is woeful at present and Carlton's is stronger at present.Geelong has no match up for Kouta unless they use ben graham but highly unlikely most likely Harley when kouta goes forward.Geelong has had the wood on Carlton of late but expect that to end in this game

Good luck to all

have not looked yet, where is Essendon 25.5?

On Kouta - not the threat he was last year, don't forget - although you are probably right that he might be a bit much for Graham. He has started at full forward twice now, so I wonder if that happens again? If closer to fitness, Brittain might do something odd, given the recent struggles with Geelong.

Tribunal result - Jason Akermanis from Brisbane found not guilty of striking.

I will no doubt regret saying this, but I think Brisbane @ $1.95 are the best bet I have seen all season.

AussieVamp,

I agree that Essendon vs West Coast was a good bet but -42.5 is dangerous even when the best team meets the worst team.

I think the best bet I have had to date was Essendon @ $1.70 vs Sydney in Round 4.

I think this week Brisbane @ $1.95 vs Sydney look just as good (if not better) for all the reasons I listed in my match summary. Was glad to see Jason Akermanis cleared to play as he offers so much to the side.

had just remembered Essendon vs Sydney

was watching that on a big screen tv at the pub having dinner

behind I am not sure if it was two blokes that were swans fans, or swans punters, had not worked it out

was saying 'about time you did something Scott Lucas you useless bastard'

actually, was hoping that line might do that, but wasn't sure, weather seems ok, will have a look

unless that is an 'injury' plunge

still getting that Fremantle urge - which luckily I have resisted until now

All those fadeouts, sheesh.

as mentioned, 34.5 is still available, 35.5 at 1.85 at DAS which is probably worse

Adelaide has been struggling to score 90, so 90-56 sort of game that makes that - although with nice fine weather?

As mentioned, Adelaide has historically done them over in Adelaide fairly handily. Freo won in 99 and 98, but in Freo.

Just not often a line this big on a presumably ordinary team.

Interesting note that the Crows have the worst accuracy rate in the league - if that improves might be ugly for the unstable Dockers - who lose Bell/Metropolis etc., which is very ugly as well

speaking of resisting Fremantle urges

5.20 to win at SIA for the very brave?

AussieVamp,

The more I look at all the factors in the Adelaide vs Fremantle match, the more keen I am getting on Fremantle at the spread.

Whilst Adelaide are on the improve, they are not worthy of giving 35 points head start against any team at the moment.

Fremantle may be 0-6 for the year, but looking at each match (as below), they are not playing bad footy. It is mainly the 4th quarter letting them down.

Round 1:
Lost to Carlton and probably should have won
Round 2:
Lost to Collingwood by 27 points
Round 3:
Lost to Hawthorn but just behind at 3/4 time
Round 4:
Lost to West Coast after leading at 3/4 time
Round 5:
Lost to Brisbane after leading at 3/4 time
Round 6:
Lost to Melbourne but just behind at 3/4 time

Some food for thought .......

big Bulldogs plunge too, no idea why, unless multiple melbourne players out, food poisoning, disease or car crashes

but no coverage or mention of anything in any media at all

An easy win for those that took the +14.5 or $2.40 straight up. The game was never really in doubt and they could have won by far more with straight goalkicking.

something to think about here too :-

Lions suffer triple setback
BRISBANE'S chances of beating Sydney in the AFL match at the SCG tomorrow nosedived last night when fullback Justin Leppitsch broke down and key pair Luke Power and Chris Scott failed fitness tests.
