Essendon a winner, fairly comfortably in the end, first quarter won it for them

but 4.10 to 0.3

?

Nice kicking, rest of game not a lot better, so could have been a slaughter. (Richmond a bit ordinary too in that department, so fortunate there or could have been very tight)

Still, as expected, they jumped them and almost all over from there, if Hird/Caracella had decided to find the goals very ugly scoreline

Vamp:

Thx for the updates and all the info.

Two questions:

1) How much does that Brisbane injury report affect that gm? I took Brisbane. Do you recommend pulling off that gm?

2) What's the best website for AFL scores?

Thx again, Vamp and other parties which have contibuted here.

Best of luck.

Brisbane - have not decided yet whether to bet it or not yet after that.

Leppitsch is a weird - first in, then out, playing games there they are perhaps.

Very good key defender and better with him if healthy.

Luke Power is a goal kicking half forward, if we can still call them that, or maybe a 'forward runner' or 'forwardfielder' if we want to make up new stuff. These guys are rare. Brisbane firepower is reduced without him. He kicked a lot of goals last year and his coach said this year, as he wants to be a midfielder 'well, you would have to be in top 10 in league to make up for that production'

Scott is an experienced hard-nosed utility type, a good player.

This game a little trickier now.

Dockers do the business for us, although looking a little shaky there after letting the lead get to 26 in the last quarter, which went for over 36 minutes! Sheesh.

Still cannot slow anyone down fundamentally Freo it looks like, a bad, bad thing.

I was at the Crows game. Crows should have covered (I had the Crows at -33.5) easily as they were clearly the better side but after quarter time went to sleep and let Freo back in. Crows extended the lead to 23 in the third but a couple of late goals kept Freo in it at 3 quarter time. The margin was 2 points at about the 20 min mark of the last quarter when in a ruck contest Matthew Robran was hit in the head accidentally by a Freo Players knee and knocked out. It looked quite serious as a neck brace was put on but later it was reported that it was only concussion. This caused a 5 minute delay as he was stretchered off and thus the 36 minute quarter. After that incident the crows kicked 4 in 8 minutes but there was never going to be enough time to cover the spread.

After going 4-1 in Round 5 and 5-0 in Round 6 I am a disappointing 0-2 so far in Round 7.

Sunday Bets:
Sydney -2.5
Collingwood -11.5
Port -20.5

Oh well, a little lucky I guess. Freo were probably due though for some luck, anyway, then again, 1.6 in the 1st?

Some shoddy goalkicking everywhere today, but at least the Crows are consistently shoddy.

If you can keep up a 90% strike rate beast, please post

settling for 75 would not be too tough.

BRISBANE'S chances of beating Sydney in the AFL match at the SCG tomorrow nosedived last night when fullback Justin Leppitsch broke down and key pair Luke Power and Chris Scott failed fitness tests.

I have just caught up on the news that these three players are out for Brisbane, and this makes a HUGE difference to what looked like a great bet.

With these guys not playing, Brisbane are going to be lose something in defence, attack, and toughness.

I still think Brisbane will win & still believe that $1.95 or more is a reasonable price. But they have changed from a great bet to just a fair bet now.

Power out will have the biggest influence on Brisbane,he normally plays blinders against Sydney (i should know being a swans supporter) and with scott and leppitsch out aswell they may have trouble matching up on goodes & o'loughlin.....having said that i will still sit on the fence as far as a bet goes Go swannies

Yes, this week went quite well.

Seems that agreeing with 'Cartguru' him a good thing, too

Nice one by the Kangas (did not back that) to pull that one out, the Carey/Pagan combo pulls another one out. Bizarre match history those two teams have, underdog does all sorts of crazy stuff recently.

2-2 for the weekend ,Hawthorn could not cover the line for me again (2 weeks in a row) and collingwood looked like they were going to run away with it at the start of the last qtr

season to date 12-10

Yes, Hawthorn still got that fundamental defensive deficiency in other bits of the ground perhaps.

Could be value in Essendon again.

Weekend overall: 3-1

Hope I didn't get anyone's nose out of joint by posting my AFL Plays in a separate thread of my own. Just that I was based at home all weekend with my 2 rugrats with wifey having a Mum's day weekend away in Auckland and have limited 'net access/time at home, so I compiled all my picks and previews into one file and cut and pasted to save dosh!

Huge thread this one, great work all, AFL quickly becoming a fan favourite and a nice money spinner

Thanks fellas.

More than happy with tipping 3-0 again this weekend, and also made a late decision to back Fremantle ATS so ended up another very profitable few days.

I'm sure this great run can't go forever but as long as it does I am not going to complain !!!!
