I'm a little confused if he has $165.80 in earnings this year how is he an amateur? What is that pro shop credit or he did he make to little to be a considered a pro? LINK

What is your definition of average and how is that relative to being a scratch golfer?

You are a fvcking moron!

I never once said anything about a scratch golfer.

It's not my definition of average.... the scores are the actual average scores shot by every player in that tournament.

My point was that he shot BETTER THAN AVERAGE of the scores posted.

went yesterday just to tinker with swing and putting alike. After 9 holes of missed 4 footers, and back-back birdie putts that turned into bogeys I decided to go back to something I did years ago. I opened both feet to the holea allowing me to see the hole better and for some reason putt better. I know it is not sound as I cut across the ball a little on impact but at this point I will try anything. Hows this for inconsistant 49-39=88.
If all else fails I will have to start playing at the course below,lol

:mj07: Man there is an invention. Getting a pair of glasses that could do that for you. You would overnight become a much better putter. Just don't ever wear them to bed if you know what i mean.

And my point is so what does that have do with anything? I didnt say he wasnt better than some of the players in the field

For the 100th time I said he is around a 4 to 6 handicapper, who would struggle to break 90 at augusta.

As long as its under a certain amount you can keep your amatuer status. The thing is he's not making really making money ( after the entrance fee's). At least he is getting to play in a tournament environment and has the opportunity to play nice courses.

Again you are wrong, but hey at least you are good at something!

It is in fact merchandise credit Eric.

abc now would be a good time for you to shrink into your hole and stop looking like a fool.

Sick of listening to you douche bags. Doesn't much matter what my handicap is because it isn't like I'm playing net events. I will however happily take my 7 shots against either of you for any amount.

Here is my GHIN history and every score I play has been posted. I always play it down and putt it out. All my tourney scores are posted as you will see. This takes your score and the slope/rating into account and actually tells you what each score equates to handicap wise. This should zip your lips, but if not carry on with your douchebaggery, I am finished.

H=home
T=tournament
C=combined

I haven't yet posted my latest Otter Creek scores or a few others but I hope my handicap climbs for the local Calcutta!

and in case your curious:

Golf Handicap Calculation - Step 1
A minimum of five scores and a maximum of 20 is required to get started. For each score, the USGA Course Rating and Slope Rating for the courses played are also required. Using those figures, calculate the handicap differential for each round entered using this formula:

(Score - Course Rating) x 113 / Slope Rating

For example, let's say the score is 85, the course rating 72.2, the slope 131.
The formula would be (85 - 72.2) x 113 / 131.

This differential is calculated for each round entered.

Golf Handicap Calculation - Step 2
Figure out how many differentials are being used. Not every differential that results from Step 1 will be used in the next step. If only five rounds are entered, only the lowest differential will be used. If 20 rounds are entered, only the 10 lowest differentials are used. A chart at the bottom of this page shows how many differentials are used based on the number of rounds entered.

Golf Handicap Calculation - Step 3
Get an average of the differentials used by adding them together and dividing by the number used (i.e., if five differentials are used, add them up and divide by five).

Multiply the result by .96 (96-percent). Drop all the digits after the tenths (do not round off) and the result is handicap index.

Thankfully, you don't have to do the golf handicap calculation on your own. Your golf club's handicap committee will handle it for you. You can also use our free handicap index calculator - give it a try!

And here's that chart we promised:

Number of Differentials Used
Rounds Entered Differentials Used
5-6 1 lowest
7-8 2 lowest
9-10 3 lowest
11-12 4 lowest
13-14 5 lowest
15-16 6 lowest
17 7 lowest
18 8 lowest
19 9 lowest
20 10 lowest

just for the hell of it, I plugged in his tourney scores and slopes and ratings and while I know it's your 10 best scores out of your last 20 rounds, I only input what I had. I left one round out b/c it was a best ball tourney.

And I came up with -.7 as his index, which to me would be scratch.

Here's the site

Sounds like somebody got :mj122:

No way he is a .7 shooting 82 and 79 and only having one round better than 75. That is unless every course rating is 76 and slope in the 140s and i doubt that is the case.

I was going to copy and paste my GHIN handicap and you can definitely get a better idea how the hdcp system works, but :teknology and:mj10:

But I have 13 scores in the 70's, 4 scores in the 80's, 3 scores in the 90's and one 68, my game is so Jeckyl & Hyde it is a joke but my hdcp is not 6 or 7 where it should be for the amount of golf I have been playing but a 2 because of the LOW NUMBERS:00hour . I used to be scratch for 20 years but playing 20 rounds in 3 years does not bode well for keeping up that kind of play:scared :142smilie

Agent,

Just to let you know, I am the world's best professional card player, I just work for a living because I want to.

I don't have any wins in a professional tournamaments or any cashes even, but if you put up the $10,000 for me to play in the WSOP (oh, and $10,00 for my dad to play) I guarantee I can win it, because I said so on an internet forum, even though my prior results dictate just the opposite.

I fish as a pro?!?!?!?!!? We don't have any ridiculous system to check handicaps or any of that crap. We just go by checks cashed. I have cashed quite a few yet I still consider myself an amateur until I win the"Big one". Other than that I say leave Agent alone. Who cares what he shoots, who cares where he plays or what he will shoot there.....I don't. As long as he is happy with it than who gives a crap. I don't........of course I don't post my winnings and finishes either.

If you read the post below mine, where it explains how the index is figured you'll see since I only have 7 scores in there it takes the two lowest scores. so it throws out his highest 5 scores.
