Been duck hunting with Antonin Scalia.

Seriously, I've been around Johnny Bench in several social situations. Has to be one of the biggest assoles on the planet. Played golf with Lee Johnson (punter for the Bengals, Eagles, Patriots, etc.) and Doug Pelfrey (placekicker for the Bengals).

My father in law was good friends with Ted Kluzewski and the troph knew him when she was a kid. Went to law school with Ken Anderson. And finally and most importantly, I drive by Nick Lacheys high school everyday on the way to work.

The biggest asshole to ever come in the club hands down was Brett Favre. Complet and total asshole. Have rooted against him ever since.

Someone else said this same thing about Favre in Cancun last year. He offered him a drink or something and Favre totally ignored him.

I think that counts as the two strike A hole rule.

Well,

Byron Hanspard RB TxTech, Atalnta falcons, TB- went to school/played football with him. Talked to him at our high school head coaches funeral.
Jimmy Wyrick DB Lions- went to school/played football with him.
Marcus Tubbs - soon to be drafted DT from UT. Played football with him. Knew him and partied with him.
Tatum Bell - Soon to be drafted RB from Ok St. Knew him, my brother was good friends with him.

Saw Howard Eisley (PG suns) at a strip club in Dallas. He was whining because not all of the finest strippers in the club were sweatin' his jock.

Met Charles Haley at Hooters in Dallas.
Met Tony Dungy at my church in Dallas.
Met Deion Sanders at my church in Dallas.

Never got to meet Jim Jackson when he was in Dallas, but a friend of mine was a ball boy for the Mavericks and he signed a picture I drew of him dunking over Michael Jordan. He said JJ asked who I was, he liked the picture so much, and wanted to meet me. Never got the chance 'cause that a$$wipe Nelson traded him away!
I still have the picture at home.

Then Cowboys CB Kevin Smith called my house looking for a friend of mine. He was the godfather of my friends nephew..or something like that. I think that was the year he tore his achilles tendon on MNF. His phone number and name were on my caller ID.....I didn't delete it for at least a year!!! :D

Chicago
LOL

Known around Chicago as....

No tip'n Pippen (well known horse's ass in these parts)

I think I met Mark Spits (spelling?), Olympic swimmer, when I was a little kid on top of a high rise by the lake, downtown Chicago.

Met a double (an exact) for Sly Stallone at a four o'clock downtown Chicago, where he was looking to pick up the talent that I was with. Just left some stupid taping of a day time "Oprah like" show for celebrity doubles. I'm 6'5", this dude was literally 5' tall with the exact looks and had the voice going and all. Didn't turn it off.

Dan Jiggets, ex-Bear O lineman spoke at my football teams banquet, when I was a kid. He still works for the media around here. Also have met other local tv types.

I think KOD has me beat.

No celebs, for another thread....

Met some (about 15) for real F'n mafia dudes (like movie characters) when I worked the door at a club off Halsted for opening night. Was trying to hook up with a girl that worked there. I knew her from another bar. The place was a cover for them. Bunch of fat nasty pricks with F'ugly wifes. It changed names after that within a couple months, then disappeared. They used to get Playboy models stopping by and flashing from the second floor windows. A lot of big money paid some large coin to be members of this "cigar" bar, back when that was the rage.

Still party (drink) now occasionally with some very connected gentlemen, street level, real characters, that I have known for some time. Makes one wonder why one should ever work hard in life. These guys have nothing on me, outside of the millions, and an ability to shamelessly live off others vices. Biggest problems they have are when to stop drinking, raising their kids not to be F'ups, and their ability to hide income. They also hate their wifes.

Wilson:

I do believe Bench has the record for tagging the most johnsons by a catcher. At those social engagements where we both attended, I noticed he did not order snapper and seemed to have an aversion to tuna.

including LEN,

Is that the group that sings, "Steal My Sunshine" or whatever it's called from the movie "Go"? Seeing that name brought back some memories, even if it turns out it's the wrong band!

CherryBlstr- Snow is a great guy and father, he has been going out with my wifes cousin for ever and when we go in to T.O. and see him he is great with my kids and his and is really down to earth.

I pissed beside Steve Tyler at the Gasworks a long time ago and he was really cool to talk to, they were there to see a cover band of themselves.
My dad was dentist to some of the Leafs like Palmateer so that was cool when I was younger and was also dentis/buddies with the group Trooper.

That is great. I feel like I'm in 8th grade right now. I LOVED that song when it came out, and then never heard about the guy again.

I met Favre when he talked at out Boys and Girls club banguet. And no way did he come acrosse as ass hole. He also stopped by the hospital and visit with afew youngsters.
Robin Yount spoke at our Local American Legion banquet honering our state winning team. I had the chance to shake his hand and speak 20 seconds with him as most of us did.
Way back 1968 Bart Star came and talked at our Quarter Back Club banquet honerng the local highschool and college all city team. We all had chance to say hello and get a autograph.
Have a BB signed by Hank Aron when taken to a game in Milwaukee by my father in 1957. Eddie Mathews signed the scorecard for me that same day.

I think every celebrity has good and bad days when it comes to being cordial with fans. I'd say it's better to abstain from judging them based on one or two meetings. Maybe Pippen's the exception ;).

Chioma is friends with more celebs than I am, but I've probably interviewed/met more. Rowdy Roddy Piper was probably my most famous interview.

dj quick was by far the coolest one of those mentioned

Was next door neighbors with Thurman Munson of the Yankee's use to play baseball in his backyard with his son Todd. Tons of the yanks of that era would come visit his house, Sparky Lyle, Chamblis, Nettles but the best one I ever met there was Catfish Hunter.

Used to play B-Ball with Grant Hill and Thomas Hill in summer (while they were at Duke).
Played many rounds of golf with Monty Colemon, Charles Mann, Darell Green and once while with Frank Wycheck (when he was a rookie with the Skins), & one round w/ Javie Morano (when he played for DC United).
Played lacrosse with & against some current/retired pro's like Hubbard, Wade, Collins, Curry, Twoomey and others.
Hung out on the Celtics bus with Kevin McHale before a road trip. Was friends with a guy that was good buddies with Pete Chillcot (NBA - King & Rockets) and meet him a few times.

OH yeah met "The Hulkster" in an airport!
