Coleman is too old BUT not so fast my friend, what if he somehow beats Tito. It would make me so happy. I think both guys gas by midway thru round 2. Tito use to be known for his gas tank but in his last few fights it hasn't been there. Against Evans he gassed and it cost him. Tito takes people down and gnps them, will he be able to take Coleman down? I know Coleman is old but an Olympica wrestler shouldn't be easy to take down at any age.

Sometimes i think Dana and Joe Silva are over matched at times. This should have been done from the get go and not be matching Carwin and Cain. Now you possibly have both fighting Lesner instead of possibly messing up one guys career. Seems simple enuf why they didn't think of this earlier is mind boggeling.

Reports: Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin Headlines UFC 106, Cain Velasquez to Fight Winner
Posted by Kris Karkoski on Aug 20, 2009 at 10:32 am ET26 Comments

Brock-LesnarUFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will defend his title against Shane Carwin in the main event of UFC 106 on November 21 in Las Vegas, according to MMA Madness and Fighters Only.

Carwin had been scheduled to fight fellow heavyweight contender Cain Velasquez at UFC 104 on October 24 in Las Angeles, but that bout has apparently been scrapped in favor of Lesnar-Carwin, with Velasquez then set to fight the winner, Fighters Only reports.

It is not yet known whether Velasquez, who is reportedly uninjured, will remain on the UFC 104 card against a different opponent, or whether he?ll simply wait until early next year for his title shot.

Shane Carwin addressed the rumors earlier today on his official website:

Lots of talk going around right now. It seems to stem from a twitter post out of MN. I can?t confirm or deny anything I can just tell you guys that I am training harder then ever and your support and loyalty will carry me through any fight they send my way. With you guys on my side I am ready for whatever happens.

Lesnar (4-1) suffered a first-round submission loss to Frank Mir in his UFC debut in February 2008, but received a title shot against then-champion Randy Couture following a unanimous decision drubbing of Heath Herring last August. After winning the heavyweight title with a (t) ko of Couture, Lesnar unified the heavyweight titles by avenging his previous loss and defeating interim title-holder Frank Mir by second-round TKO in July at UFC 100.

Carwin (11-0) is 3-0 in the UFC since making his Octagon debut in mid-2008, earning first-round knockouts of Christian Wellisch, Neil Wain, and, most-recently in March, Gabriel Gonzaga. ?The Engineer? has never gone past the first round in winning all of his 11 professional fights, with his longest fight going just 2:11 and his 3 UFC bouts a combined 3:24.

Velasquez (6-0), a two-time All-American wrestler at Arizona State, followed up UFC knockouts of Brad Morris, Jake O?Brien, and Denis Stojnic with a unanimous decision over Cheick Kongo at UFC 99 in June.

Lesnar-Carwin joins Tito Ortiz vs. Mark Coleman and Jon Fitch vs. Ricardo Almeida on the fight card for the pay-per-view event.

"the bunker"
what took him so long?........

did he really think that overexposure was even possible given the number of mma hounds there are out there now?...

a no-brainer for the ufc and spike....

not crazy about seeing 30 seconds of mcfedries vs drwal,though.....a hiccup and it`ll be over one way or the other...

I will say good job to Dana when he calls me and says thanks for the idea:

If Dana White is always looking out for the fans then answer me this:

How come the prelim. card is not being aired???

Of all the cards you could say all fights should be shown, this is it UFC 100. This is their big day,big card.
Spike is showing Ultimate 100 all the way up until fight time. WHAT THE HELL?
The prelim's on Spike would be yet another great advertisement to try and get more ppv buys and selling ad space on Spike would be much greater with a much higher viewer rating.
Can someone tell me why Prelim's are not going to be shown?
What a lost opportunity for the UFC and the fans.
I can download the prelim fights a day after but can't see them live. Foolish lost revenue.

I will say this: You are welcome Dana.:142smilie

Ummmmm..........no I don't think I'll be there. In fact if I lived at 122 W. 27th St. I'd make sure I wasn't there. "Open Workout with Fedor" is right up there with "Bowling with Hughes" and "Playing Hungry Hungry Hippos" with the Nick Diaz.

I'm debating going to LA for this. First, I want to go to LA to party and second Shogun fighting Machida is a fight I really want to see. Ticket prices and seating will probably determine whether I go or not.
