you may be right....but you forgot to mention that "those yanks" could very well roll either fed or nalbandian on any given day....lets not be foolish and make it sound as if agassi or roddick are second tier to fed and bandy :nono: ....i think your sharper than that pawa....oh and by the way i think it would be fair to say that one of "those yanks",a guy named agassi, owns the aussie open....he's defending champ who's only won the aussie 3 out of the past 4 years and 4 over the past 9 years...not the kind of guy you'd want to sell short of repeating....just a thought;)

LET'S EAT
Ya got me all wrong mate!! I was just meaning that after what I have seen of both Federer and Nalbandian's form over the last 2 weeks....this might be the 1 time in 4 that I think either have a chance of knocking off :hail Agassi or A-Rod. Most times your yankee co-horts will roll on. Andre is a fair dinkum tennis legend and I in no way meant to imply that either was inferior to the Fed or Nalby.

I have $$s on both of the yanks to make the Semis (as well as Nalby from a week ago) so I hope they roll on for at least one more match and I also have a Roddick / Hen-Hard double to win.

As Kyle says, this Federer could just be the next big player in the game and I guess I had just never given him enough credit up until last night with that demolition job he did on Hewitt.

I'm just a bit pissed at how all our Aussies gave up yesterday without a whimper on our national holiday!!

I hope that clarifies things abit. Here's hoping we have more grouse tennis to come.

Just reflecting on the posts here and one thing I have to agree with is that Federer may be the man of the future. The dude lost his first service in the first set on a fluke. Hewitt hit the net on a shot that was going out but the weird hit on the net made it bounce fair and unreachable. He never lost another serve! He's the man and the way he held his cool is admirable. Personally, I think Roddick is the best player in the world on talent but Federer has the mentality to overcome any opponent.

As for the whale.....well you are proving to be the man in capping tennis...........maybe we should all sit back and just wait for the whales picks.

What da ya think Kick.....is there room on for another 'king of the castle' in this forum.

P.S.

As much as I have grown fond of Agassi (he was a prick.....am I aloud to say that?.......in his youger days) and I think he is a great inspiriation/model for us ole folks.........but he will never win a major again. Sorry for fans......like myself.....but that is just the way the game is.

pawa- sorry if i sounded a bit snappy but i just get tired sometimes of some of the anti-americanism that i hear in international forums over and over again...not saying u were being anti-american by ur comment....it just sounded that way to me at first when u referred to "those yanks"....it just gets old to me when so many other people in foreign countries sound like they want to see the americans lose or get knocked off in different sports....or just to see them fail....so i'm a little quick on the trigger to fire off and i thank you for clarifying what u were saying....alot of these people i'm referring to in other forums sound so jealous and envious that if they could only hear themselves they probably wouldnt do it....they sound like whining bitches that relish in american failure....anyway thanks again...and by the way as im writing this i'm watching agassi blast grosjean in the 1st set up 5-2 serving for the set...hope he keeps it rolling....good luck my friend....le

Day 10
WOW-got our money's worth on Safin. This has been a great ride and I do not want to give any back-but I know a few want picks so here goes-with warning. Alot of these matches were not really made to wager on-but rather seem better to watch. At this level-alot can happen. The big cinderellas are usually gone and if not the guys/gals here are playing so well they are hard to go against. Even though I have alot to play with-I will still keep within the limits unless I see something "juicy"

Props
Clijsters/Myskina match to end in Exactly 2 sets *2
-Look for a drubbing-but if the dog can win-it could happen in two.

Parlay
Clijsters(W)
Kuznetsova/Lykhovtsova
*1=.5

Raymond +102 *1
-Toss up match-going with USA-but she is not used to going this far-so a nice price-but be careful

Arazi + 250 *1.5
-Big H can Win this-great price

Federer -150 *3
-Roger has captured alot of attention. But I think he WINS this and wins it all. I probably would go higher-but I have a future on Nalbandian to win it all and I really can't lose here.

I think 5Dimes is the best place for tennis. Carib only offers head-to-head and their odds are generally quite a bit lower than 5Dimes.

Here are my picks:

Federer over Nalbandian (Fed on a mission)
Ferrero over Arazi (JC looked quite good against Pavel)
Agassi over Safin (Nice run for Marat, but Andre tip-top now)

Agassi-Federer final -- should be quite the show

Federer in 5 sets to win title.

Nick,

I think you meant Justine is clutch, while Kimmy,Serena,Jennifer,Lindsay are huge choke artists under pressure.

Arod is not close to Federer, Arod has a suspect backhand and patchy volleys. If the USTA doesnt continue to kiss his ass in Flushing, he may not win another major.

I like Bovina +185 over Raymond in the mixed dbls.

Nalby is a freak, but I wonder how he passes the piss test?

2004 Aussie Open:
-Just waitign for the hammer to drop-although a few dogs lost-still posted 3-2 + a small profit. Federer is the man. I still have futures left on Agassi/Federer/Clijsters.

-I will write more when I get back from work-around 5.
-You are right Clijsters has heart-but I don't know about playing Hardenne right now-would be great-glad I got my future early
Nice calls Walleyek-but I don't like an Agassi future at such lowprices with Safin and Federer in his face.

Your an idiot......please do everybody a favour and go away......everybody on here are nice guys yet you continue to bash.......get a life and go the **** away. And oh yeah, ask your daddy if it's ok for you to borrow the car....if he says yes.....take it and drive off a cliff.
