Well it's Grand Slam time again..........that means it's time for me to start thinking tennis:)

As some of you know tennis has been very good to me not only when I was playing but gambling as well. Overall 2002 was very good to me in tennis, but I will admit......that dam Nalbandian cost me so much money at Wimbledon.....sorry....venting:D

Anyway......here's what I see so far:

Future Bets:

Once I see the draw I will add to my future picks....but sometimes playing a Future bet BEFORE the draw comes out can work to your advantage....meaning good odds.........of course the reverse can also be true. So here are a couple future bets BEFORE the draw is released:

**Note: These players have already pulled out:

Tommy Haas
Tim Henman
Thomas Johannson
Todd Martin
Paul-Henri Mathieu
Magnus Norman
Pat Rafter
Greg Rusedski
Pete Sampras

Y Kafelnikov 101-1 (Sports Interaction)

101-1 odds on a guy that's one more then one grand slam, and sheesh he did win this thing in 1999.......101-1 is worth a play...man oh man:eek:

F Gonzalez 51-1 (Sports Interaction)

This boy can play......hits the ball a ton and with some confidence ya never know......hey's worth a shot at 51-1

M Philippoussis 51-1 (Sports Interaction)

Home crowd, keeps his brain, doesn't get injured, a good first and second round, and court plays fast.......worth a shot

T Enqvist 71-1 (Pinnacle)

19 career single titles....almost ten million in total prize money and he loves the hardcourts........might be time for a grand slam...remember this is men's tennis....ya never know

Y El Aynaoui 101-1 (Sports Interaction)

The guy is ranked 22nd in the world and started off the season well with a semi final appearance in Doha (losing to Koubek 7-6 7-6).....and last year he lost to the eventual winner Johansson in 4 tough sets! Not to mention a 4 set loss to Hewitt in QF of US Open! point being the guy shows up in Grand Slams and 101-1 is a great value!

R Krajicek 71-1 (Pinnacle)

Playing well in the warm up tourneys and with his serve he can win anytime anywhere.........71-1 is an amazing value.....if your going to bet one futures bet make it this one :firing: :firing: :firing:

Can't wait for action to start
:look: dance2

Q: How does Rafter pull out of the tourney when he is retired anyway??!!!!!! The boy can play golf though. I saw him on tv the other day in a pro-am comp and he was bloodywell impressive!!

sorry don't have odds on Rafter and golf:D

and yes I've seen him golf before as well.....the boy can play. Actually alot of the tennis players can play some good golf:)

And hey last time I hi the links I shot a 74.........not bad eh:p

of course no point in me ever golfing agin because I'll never beat that:eek:

Anyway.........keep those weird Aussy Sports picks coming......and by the way....are you going to be attending any of the tennis?

Ok here we go...........it's Grand Slam Time......gotta love it!

Aussy Open Day 1 picks
-----------------------------------

(Scale 100-500 Units)
(Guns blazin picks are max units picks)

K. Kucera to beat J Vacek at $1.38 *500 units

J. Nieminen to beat N. Davydenko at $1.86 *100 units

W. Ferreira to beat T. Robredo at $1.69 *200 units

P. Luczak to beat A. Savolt at $1.83 *100 units

F. Clavet to beat G. Coria at $4.15 *100 units

Y. Kavelnikov to beat J Morrison at $1.53 *400 units

M. Philippoussis to beat M. Verkerk at $1.39 *400 units

quick write ups
-------------------

first off............all guns blazin on the Veteren Kucera....he's actually playing well (finals in Chennai) should be able to handle Vacek......plus there will be revenge on Kuceras mind, he lost to Vacek in 2001 in their only other match..........this is a grand slam and the vet will take care of business!

Going with Nieminen for the simple reason that I lost to Davydenko back in 2000 and if I can't beat him them I hope somebody else can!.....ya I know great capping huh!

Like Ferriera because he loves the hardcourts and loves the hot weather.......plus this could be his last Aussy open.....just a hunch.

As for Luczak........going with the hometown boy......he's a wildcard and think home crowd might push him through, plus Savolt likes the dirt....great draw for both of em....but 1.83 seems like a good value.

And finally Kavelnikov and Philippoussis should take care of business.........some of you might want to consider a parlay with Kucera/Kavelnikov/Philippoussis.........I held off......but it's something to consider.

Good luck to everyone..............and enjoy the tennis.

Hope to see some familiar faces as well as some fresh blood:shade:

and remember all guns a blazin on Kucera:firing: :firing: :firing: :jump:

Kickserve;
Two things:

First thanks for the tips....I just wish I saw your 5 additions on time....which leads to the the 2nd thing.

The only 1 of the 5 that I could bet was Pavel which was suspended than open all of a sudden so I hit it. About a half hour later it is graded as a loser. I checked the rules (too late) and 1 serve makes the bet stand. How do I find out the official start time and abandoned time.....or if you have them please let me know as something doesn't feel right (my bet time is on record).

Keep it up as I'll be following along!
