Well I only got +238 and +230 on Robredo. Nieminen dropped as the game got closer but +200 could be found on the exchanges at least. Right now he's a pick.
i also want to say, how much the coverage on the open is over here in the states, just terrible, they show a replay of sharapova instead of showing Nieminen/Nalbandian live. The one time i can stay up to watch, I get to see this.
inzone - good move not to bet on much shorter lines, u lose all the value...
u prob need a lot of books for tennis, shopping around is a huge key for me
sorry to hear about yer coverage, ours in nz is awesome, about 12 hrs a day live...
good comeback in the 2nd set by nalby
Damn Krajicek retires...she couldn't stand the heat. Bloody hell she is one of the youngest players and she wimps out.
Chekced my book rules and I lose.
Side note; It was the first time I saw her play and we can expect good things from her in the future.....if it isn't too hot that is. Interesting that it was her brother that gave Sampras his only wimbledon loss in an 8 year stretch. (He won the 3 before and 4 after Richard Krajicek).
Wont agree that he was blown off court. Was a doublebreak up in first set, and bottled it, and then was another break up in the second, so lost two breakers. Got to guess that he wasnt going to win in five sets in that intense heat, so last set wasnt a surprise.
What I will agree with is that my plays this tournament have been awful!!!!
Bagdhatis @ + 500 to beat Roddick
Robredo @ + 225 to beat Nalbandian
Hoe's;
Hantuchova @ +400 to beat Sharapova
Pasqual @ +1300 to beat HH
Kuznetsova @ +225 beat Davenport
Early play;
Schiavone @ + 406 to beat Clijsters (2u)
I've been drooling over this one as Schiavone would lose this (mentally) if it were a final or semi-final but I think she gets it done here. Skills wise, she matches up nicely. I was going to wait for a higher price but Schiavone's talents are no secret anymore so I assume it will drop if anything.
Dumb question, but what do you think about Federer at -1100? Chance to get a 9% return on your money. For Fed, that's not bad. I know Haas beat him once in the past, but looks like ok value on the Fed Express.
The Fed will win and probably in 3 straight but I don't lay that kind of juice in tennis....not even in the laughable WTA. But I know what you mean about 'E...Z...money'. The Fed may not lose this year outside of dirt matches (clay).
The thing is since the men's matches are wars (unlike the 30 minute teaparty's in the women), any little injury or mental block/distraction gets fully exploited by the opponent.
Bags saves us from another disaster. Kusnetsova is a joke. Davenport was hobbling with a sprained ankle and still hangs on for the win. No way that would ever happen in the men's. Kudos to Davenport for surviving but I can't see her advancing any further now.
Schiavone.....go home and tell your mother you're a failure! This Italian bitch gets every chance in the world to win and instead she shows what a child she is mentally. 3/15 on break conversions compared to Kimmie's 4/6 and blows a 4-1, 5-3 tie-break lead. She wasn't outplayed....she was outclassed........and not for the first time. I'm sick of getting burnt by this choke-artist.
Okay enough of my ranting.
Full credit to Clijsters as she shows her mental toughness in her first real tennis match. The next against Hingas should be good to watch (a rarity) as I think she is one of maybe only 4 chicks that actually have a mental game to go with the tennis skills.
Huge play;
I don't play favourites too much but it is unlikely that Davenport recovers in 2 days from a sprained ankle to beat the tournament favourite. Davenport is one of the other chicks that actually has a mental game so its not impossible....just unlkely.
I got Henin-Hardon priced at -500.
10u :scared HH @ -196 beats the hobbling Davenport.
Recap;
YTD
9-27...-3.34
O/R...-3.0
3 Pending;
Hingas 2u each way @ 20/1
Lubjicic .5u 35/1 and .5 each way @ 33/1
The Fed 8u @ -200
