27 years old. Been gambling ever since I ran a March Madness Tourney in Highschool for $5 a piece. Learned about reverves, parlays, teasers in accounting class freshmen yr in college from the guy next to me doing all his paperwork for the week. I figured I watched sports religiously since I was 10, I could easily pick two games for a parlay or reverse. Oh boy & when I learned about teasing lines 6 points. What an idiot I was.

you 30-somethings move over

you 30-somethings move over

Now I am the old man in this thread, (think only Spanky can bail me out, if I'm lucky). I'm 49, had a rug rat by 1974.

I'm pretty sure I have other unacknowledged rug rats running around, so you guys better be nice to me unless you're positive you know who your Daddy is!

Been wagering for 20 plus years, seriously for the last ten, pro football only.

42 and been donating to various gambling organizations for 21 years. After all this time, you would think the winners will be hitting home soon:shrug:

RAT, it's a 'draw' 49 years young.
Started betting when I was 14 (35 years now -wow !! ),I used to take the bus and streetcar to Greenwood Racetrack betting the 'jugheads' and graduated to the 'flats' the next spring at Woodbine Racetrack.(We had the Breeders cup here a couple of years ago.
35 years of many HIGHS and many LOWS. It's easy to say now, but I used to" bet it all". All the way ,getting my degree, stiffing my landlord, no bet would be pased on. Some crazy years in my 20's and 30's, man ,one day I'm at Saratoga Springs, the next I'm in Vegas or Freeport playing the tables. Lots and Lots of great and WILD tales.
WOW- 35 years of 'being in action'.Thank goodness for something I learned: Self Control, but it sure came at a 'cost'.
Good Luck Guys -Spanky.....

I am 44 and been seeking the action since I was running number boards at my parent's Holiday parties at 7 years old. It was the only time I was consistently ahead.

15 years - Horses @ Canterbury Park
10 years - Blackjack @ MN Indian casinos
9 years - Craps and various other games on as Vegas trips
8 years - Football betting with my local book
3 years - online gambling
1 1/2 years - Poker @ Canterbury Card Club

Too much fun.....not enough cash! :violin:

43, soon to be 44. i have three hairs on each ear, my god, what is this age thing, but i keep the damn things religiously shaved.

my old man took me to churchill downs when I was 15. we had enough money to buy spaghetti dinners at Jerry's on the way home. it was all over from then.
