The get together should be similar to the SuperBowl, except we will the the Mall of America, couple of casino's, old fashioned picnic, and maybe a lot of GOLF!) I suck but love the sport!

my mother started me on a form of gambling thirty ten years ago at age 2.

(yes, was only bingo at that point, and she had me at the illegal games from age 2 on)

football pools started at age 7 and were based from her work.

casino gambling started at age 17 in vegas, and it was the ONLY place i ever knew my mother to lie (and it was about my age every time they asked her if i was old enough to be there...LOL)

true sports betting, other that a 10 spot, or a *fun* bet with friends, didn't start until about age 35

I am 31 years old ... been gambling on sports, etc... with bookies since I was 21 so I guess it's been about 10 years but I've been playing March Madness Pools, NFL Pools, and football tickets since I was about 15.

I agree ... a lot of the cappers are younger than I thought. Let's hear from some of the guys we think are older or have at least been around here awhile (Hoops, Fletcher, Nolan, etc.).

Looks like I am still the youngest one, some day that will change though right? I am 20, been at Madjacks as LP7SLIP or Lockport7 for 3 years now.

On the week before my birth my single mother went with her mother to a game of bingo at the Church and won $1000 dollars. It gave her the money to buy my necessities and I have been considered a lucky kid ever since.

Won a bike from pizza hut in a drawing when I was ten.
And free hot sandwiches for a semester this year from a local restaurant.....

Been gambling since I was 6, friends were compulsive card players, placed my first sports bet while working at a golf course when I was 14. $250 dollars on the Broncos, that was fun times. Have been hooked ever since. Lots of ups and downs but it has fun.

I like the fact that everyone in hear who gambles in here is considered normal or friends but then people at home when I tell them I am betting automatically think "compulsive" thats not a good thing.

Greatest sports betting accomplishment : Won $10,000 on a 5 team parlay. Yeah money management was stupid then but got lucky.
