Age: 34 :violin:

First wager: 8 years old
Got my neighbour to place a $1 double on a race meeting at Hastings. Can still remember the horse I had to this very day - Schenley in the 1st leg; Copper Belt in the 2nd. Family went to the circus that afternoon. I took my transistor along and listened to the 2nd leg on the way out of the Big Top back to the car. Copper Belt got up and I won $3.10 ....LMFAO :D
Been hooked in some way ever since ;)
But only starting winning on a regular basis in the past 18 months as I discovered money management and discipline - the keys to it all ;)

Wow, what a range of ages. Somewhat skewed to 30 and under it seems.

33yrs old, been offshore for almost 5 yrs. Started out w/ SDB Global, Bowmans, Easybets, and VIP. Since then I have been debating.....what's more important, the $$$ or the girl? (guess that's a topic for another thread)

Well 9 days to 60. First bet 1962. Looks like 40 years to me. Don't ask what. But I believe it was on a fight with a kid call Floyd Paterson. If I remember right. I bet under 7 rounds and lost.

djv,

I was 12 years old at a party in an apartment building in Braddock, Pa.

It was a Saturday night.

June, 1959

Floyd Patterson versus Ingomar Johannson.

The girls wanted to dance but all us guys were sittin' on the couch listening to the fight on a transistor radio.

I had the Swede for fifty cents.

The rest is history.

Been donating my money for two years now.

heelsfan,

In reality we can deduct gambling losses. No kidding. Hmmm...then maybe I wouldn't have to pay any taxes. LOL

beachbum,

Welcome!

Nice to see a name that one can relate to hardened experience.

Do you have a preferred sport/sports?

My preference is cfb and cbb.
