Long way out but getting some wind and suspect weather next 2 days. Was setting good till finished 3 over on last 3 holes yesterday.
adding two 72 hole cont @ oly
Baird -115 over Austin (currently one down)
Petrovic +100 over Parney (currently tied)

Well the circus is over.Have to admit i found it most exciting though especially stepping into unexplored territory with the books and linemaking.Thought best venture would be to stay away from score props as course did play about 3 strokes under past 4 year ave with no wind, and exploit other avenues.Stan did excellent job on the absurb lines on matches $plays put up especially 1st rd.
Was interesting following her and was impossible not to pull for this class act.
What a memorable week of emotions for her and all that watched.
Will this be a one time thing or just the start of women playing in PGA.Easy answer,$$$,as long as there is a free lunch offer they will come and this was an advertisers gold mine,if they have to qualify nada.
My suggestion to next whos true intent is to test themselves and to take their game to "next level" is to try qualifying---on the nationwide tour and go from there like everyone else.

Skybet refund on Toms, which is good of them.

Next female player circus...Suzy Whaley at Greater Hartford, who did qualify within the rules! Would make her around 20/1 to make the cut.

Then it's Michelle Wie on the Nationwide...hope for DTBs sake she doesn't play too well!! Can't have an 8th grader mixing it at the top of the boards!

:) I'll be pulling for her Clive. She got guts and did come close to qualifying on the island from the mens tees and I applaud her efforts.Same goes for Whaley despite via womens tees.
I really like this Wie's attitude.I think she will get invite to PGA eventually.--and at least I will say this she tried via the correct route and was not scared of failing in qualifying which I say will help her in the future.-----My view I doubt many on lpga would risk getting embarrased in qualifying, but they have nothing to lose in event where oddsmake lay 4/1 on making the cut and everything to gain by getting paid for numerous talk shows in between and publicity sure won't hurt especially with contracts up for negotiation with Callaway and Mercedes just shortly. ---and just what does going on no less than 5 talk shows have to do with taking her game anywhere???Don't get me wrong,I think she is great lady and golfer and I was pulling for her to make cut and thouroughly enjoyed watching her.
---but I not naive enough to think her motives for playing were to take her game to "higher level". She threw the bait out when she said she would play "if" she got invite from sponser. Monetarily speaking what tourney sponser in their right mind would refuse.
If it were I and I was wanting to see, I would go via qualifying where added pressure of camera and press was not prevailant to get true look at perspective.
---and Wie,maybe she is taking her game to higher level after top 10 in lpga major as 8th grade walk on.:)

I might add I do not think the publicity was Annika's idea but more so her manager. She strikes me as more the introverted type and imho I think she will play a couple more years and retire to have family. I don't think golf will be at the top of her priorities then and when she walked off 18 green she was indeed a winner in my book--now if she had missed the putt and went over the 5 1/2 bogies then---just kidding:D

no 4th rd. Have idea this rd may never finish with projected weather. If there was ever one to end if weather threatening this would be it.
Probably the best rd of golf I ever witnessed yesterday. Every birdied putt Kenny holed was inside of 13 ft and missed 4 by inches that I saw on back 9. Pretty remarkable back to back scores on this par 70 track. He tied low score of 1st 2 rds on friday, but you have had to view scoreboard to know that. CBS didn't even interview him after yesterdays rd.
One dimentional media,Sell the sizzle not the steak.
Just wish they let these wanna be golf sports writers/announcers set a few lines and back em with their own money.:p

Furyk managed to get a share of 5th place with three others to just about cover the stake, but little else went was profitable in this event except Annika. Without the Sorenstam plays, this would have been a very sorry effort.

Home boy does good!! Finally got some tv time for a change and enjoyed watching him. If you heard him give greeting to Norman Head while walking down fairway,he was his early golf coach who now has Alzeimers, hope it was one of Norman "good days" and he could relate to it.Will celebrate a little with Kenny on some unofficial cheese. :D
