Sorry guys. I can not begin to tell you how fucked up this year has been. I know I mentioned it before and then it got even worse. Another close friend suddenly died and left behind 3 young girls. It had a real effect on me and I had to do something. So, I emptied all my accounts and started a fund for the family. I rallied the troops and raised a lot of money to support the family and start college funds for the girls. I figured the least I could do was quit gambling for a while and use my winnings for some good. As my Dad use to say, if you are going to talk the talk you better damn well walk the walk. The circumstances sucked but it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

So, I am continuing to take a break and count my blessings, but I will likely be back for the European championships in June.

I wish you all well and remember to keep in touch with those closest to you because you never know what is going to happen.

Bason I don't know you personally, I only have this soccer connection through madjacks , but I know your a good man. God bless you! There is way more to life than gambling. That is a very touching and noble act. I wish you the best. Sorry for your loss I know how that feels , I look forward to seeing you back here in a few months. Take care and God bless you Bason, and those 3 little girls.

Service industry

If I recall you are in the service industry?if not ignore. Just curious if you are having the same issue as us here in Arkansas finding staff. All my friends are struggling to stay open long hours simply due to staff shortages. Hope you are doing well.

This is not in any way a question to spawn political debate. My 97 year old grandmother told me there were 3 things to never discuss?
1) a woman?s weight
2) weather to a farmer
3) politics

It is a mess. I am at the beach and we are seasonal so the shortage is really bad this year. I have friends with businesses that have to stay closed 2-3 days a week because they do not have employees. I have another that owns a hotel and can only operate at 50% capacity because he has no one to clean the rooms. The shortage is nationwide and is real, but particularly bad for summer seasonal towns. It is a combination of factors, but the extra unemployment benefits is not helping at all. Get ready for less service and increased prices. In addition to the lack of employees, just about all food, paper supplies, cleaning supplies etc. are going up in price. It has been a hard time for the restaurant industry so please remember this when you are going out as most places are short staffed and over worked.

Funny, I lived in Washington DC the majority of my life and never was political at all. Now that I am away from it, I am much more involved. I think it is just the current state of affairs that piss me off. Maybe Joe will come to the beach today so that I can yell at him (his beach house is not far from where I live.)

And now I am off to my place to help out on this busy 90+ degree Saturday.

Thanks Crazy. Been one of the craziest years of my life for sure. Sometimes you need a punch to the gut to wake up, realize what you have and be a better man.

I am not in full cap mode yet, but I am playing Denmark in a Pk today. They have been hot and Germany will be playing without some key players (definitely no Chelsea or Man City players). At Pk+140 I think you get some decent value here in a game I am not sure Germany is very motivated to play.

Have not made many Gold Cup plays but I see a situation I like for tomorrow:

Panama TT Ov 3.5 +105 - Grenada is terrible. While I do not think Panama is that great they have a chance to move on if Qatar happens to lose. They can only do this by making up a -5 goal differential so they need to stick it to Grenada. They have looked good offensively so I think they put up at least 4 in this game. I also like the TT Ov 1.5 in the first half.

I also put this in for some action:

Costa Rica +116/Honduras Draw +217 +585

Both of these game have strong draw potentials due to the situations, but I simply think Costa Rica is the better team and that Jamaica will make a couple mistakes trying to win the game (loser get the US and winner gets Canada so big motivation for Jamaica to win as they have to win to finish atop the group) that CR can take advantage of. I think Honduras may be the better team, but they are happy with a draw here as is Quatar. The conspiracy theorist in my also thinks the tournament wants Qatar to move on and I think Quatar would welcome a match with Mexico.

They need to stop playing fucking games in Florida in the summer. This could totally screw all my Panama bets. I am not happy about this at all.

This opening line for the US/Qatar game is off to me. No way the US should be minus $$ in this game. If you have been watching the games I think Qatar is the better team. The US back line is going to have a very hard time stopping this team as they have not played anyone with any offensive fire power. For now, I like Qatar +.5 and definitely +1, their TT Ov .5 and the total Ov. Will wait to see how this moves, but this US team has not been impressive at all and Qatar is better than they are getting credit for.

Glad you agree!!

I just played the Qatar TT Ov .5 -185. They are trying to scare you away with this line, but I will be shocked if they do not score in this game and I do not think I will get a better price.

Putting a couple bucks on

Galatasaray +215

Strong home team that lost 5-1 in the first leg. Too much value for me to pass on this one.
