I was going to start some new threads but this summer has been nuts. I have been coming to the DE beaches for over 50 years and this has been the busiest summer ever. Finally got a bit of a slow down this week but it has been brutal. Our grocery store shelves are half full at best and some have been running out of milk, eggs, etc. Most businesses are short-staffed (even more so now that college kids are down) and also dealing with supply shortage and increased prices not to mention entitled and rude tourists. I have never been so happy to see summer come to a close.

I will start this thread to start after today since the other is getting busy and we have a ton of qualifiers coming this week.

Appreciate what you say about glad summer ending. Some would take pay cuts to work. Retail has just had a terrible time. Pray this Delta variant gets out of here soon. There are so many leagues in soccer at my new online book but I eventually find your plays. Look forward to new thread and nice run on your Ravens!

Thanks buddy, lets get it started with one for tomorrow:

Norway +.5 +104

This play really stands out to me. Sure, the Dutch have the better overall team, but they are on the road against a hungry team that also happens to have maybe the top goal scorer in the world. This is already a huge game in this group since both teams have already lost to Turkey. They both sit with 6 points along with Montenegro and one point behind Turkey. A loss in this game would make it very tough to qualify. As such, I think the Dutch are happy with a draw and we will see more aggressive play from Norway. Norway did not qualify for the European Championships so they are anxious to prove they belong. An added bonus is that Norway has lost only one game since 2016 at home. I think this is a good situation for Norway and we are getting paid a great price.

I will probably also use them +349 in a parlay but the +.5 is the most appealing play.

This bet is in for tomorrow:

Germany -4.5 -135

I rarely do this, but this situation deserves a play and I really like it. First of all Lichtenstein is terrible. They lost 5-0 to North Macedonia and 7-0 to Switzerland. Second, Germany already has a loss to North Macedonia so they are motivated to win. Third, and most important, this is Flick's first game as the Germany coach. He, as well as the players, are going to want to make a strong first impression so I expect Germany to come out firing tomorrow. All my German friends are expecting a big, big win. Once the first one goes in, I expect this game to get very ugly and see Germany winning 6 or 7 to nil.

I also put this prop bet in:

Will a Sub score +130 Yes

Just a small play but with 5 substitutions and a possible blowout I think this is a great value bet.

Nice call on Norway. Will take the winnings and put it on your Ohio State play.

I like the USA tonight but that line has gotten out of hand, so I am not posting it as an official play. I used them last night at -189 in a parlay and now I am seeing -257. That is a big ass move. No fans and El Salvador's top scorer is out, so they both certainly play into the US's favor, but I need to see how this US team performs as a group before you can lay this amount of money on them or lay -1.5 goals.

No, they are not. Germany was just fucking horrible in this game. Flick completely messed with the starting lineup and it was a mess from there. I was just flat out wrong on this one, nothing else to say. Can just add it to the tens of thousands Germany has cost me over the many years. Can't wait to start reading the German press!

Uninspired futbol from the USA last night. At least my instincts were right. That starting team had no chemistry at all. Talent is one thing, but getting them to play together is quite another. This has been my concern with Berhalter all along. He simply does not have the experience getting world class players to come together as a team. He also needs to stop playing players where they do not belong. Dest will get a lot of criticism for his play last night but he is not a left back. He needs to play on the right. The midfield also needs to get their act together as there was no real chemistry. Pulisic should change this, but they have to get their act together soon. The upcoming Canada game is an absolute must win in my opinion as this team needs some confidence.

Not much to like about today's card but I put one in:

Israel/Austria BTTS Yes -120

I see a 1-1 type game in this important group game as these two will be battling it out for second place in the group.

Easy winner today. Not in love with tomorrow's card either. No way I am laying the lumber with the US as I think Canada will give them all they can handle. I have no idea how Germany can be -3 so I have decided not to touch it. I am making one small play:

Greece/Kosovo BTTS Yes +102

Taking a shot that Kosovo gets on the board here. They are Ov .5 -200 and Greece is Ov .5 -310, so I like the price for BTTS.

Thanks TT, always nice to win like that.

Well, Berhalter is starting to perform like I was concerned about from the start. He is just not experienced enough to coach this team. He has proved this by turning this team into a MLS team. I hated his starting lineup tonight and waiting til the 83rd minute to make substitutions is absolutely inexcusable. I could go on and on, but tonight's performance and result was piss poor.

For today:

Norway -4

Austria

Haaland to score 3 or more +194

Usually I would never trust Norway to score this many goals but this is also a situational play. That group is extremely tight so goal differential will likely factor in and Norway is way behind (5 behind Turkey and 8 behind the Dutch). They need to make up as many goals as possible so they have to be motivated to score. Gibraltar is bad as is, but the schedule will likely take a heavier toll on them given they have no depth at all, so I expect them to get tired in this match. Norway should be able to take advantage and win this 5 or 6 to nil. If they do that, I have to think that Haaland scores at least 3 goals and we are getting a decent price for that. He should be able to score at will in this game and I think he will be motivated, so I will take a shot.

This is an absolute much win game for Austria. They are not one of my favorite teams to bet on, but I like them in this spot. Scotland is happy with a draw so this should be a full on power play for Austria and I think they can score at home.

I also tied Norway (at 3.5), Austria, Denmark and Holland.

Thanks Lowell. Certainly a nice hit and gave us the push for the game. Still very surprised Gibraltar scored. I am done with Austria. They have a Bundesliga team and can not score at home against Scotland. That coach is going to get fired.
