Adding:

Chris Perry to beat Greg Chalmers -111 @ Simon Bold
Chalmers should have the beating of Ogilvy on this course, but will find Perry a different proposition. He is in even better form and does have decent course form as well, which is something that Chalmers does not have from his single visit to Bay Hill

Greg Norman to beat John Daly -111 @ Ladbrokes
Adding another anti-Daly play. Norman hasn't played this event since 1996 when he was a different player, but he looked in good form in Australia and his more accurate, controlled golf will be rewarded this week

Thanks for all the good information concerning the golf tournament. I just discovered this topic and NASCAR last weekend.

I have since been to your site Stanley and am amazed, flabbergasted, and overwhelmed.
Quite an impressive site.

I see that you are a professor at Oxford, Stanley. What subject do you teach?

And lastly,

Anyone know where I might get some info as good as this and the Nascar topic for the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix?

Thanks one and all

AzRusty

2-1 last week for +0.70x ytd: 14-14 for +0.93x

72 hole matches @5 Dimes each for 2x;
Herron -115 vs Janzen
Westwood -118 vs Garcia

5 Dimes should be commended for all the matchups they post. Wish they could get them up earlier though. Wednesday night is a bad night for me.

1st round
McCarron -115 over Dimarco @ 5Dimes
Herron -115 over Janzen

A (L)ucky 3ball combo @Sportingbet for 1 unit
(L)owery-(L)anger and (L)ewis $10 returns $234
If you think you are real (L)ucky add add
(L)ehman @6/4 and more than double return.

While I usually try an isolate a throwout in 3ball matchs these are all in tough but could not resist odds.They have the quality darkhorses listed at great odds Lowery-Lewis and Chamblee @ 12/5,15/8 and 15/8 respectively. However they are in tough and to win all 3 is remote but I've seen sicker dogs get well.

Fats Like your Herron play.Was going to wait till tomorrow when they played in afternoon but forcast is 20mph winds at 9am so thought I'd bite today.

Singh looks very strong here but the prices don't tempt me although 11/4 Tiger certainly did catch my eye. But, I like to go against the grain so my 3 are -:

TOM LEHMAN - good record here, 2nd in the Sony Open and 7th in Phoenix. 33/1 smacks of e/w value.

BRAD FAXON - playing well lately, runner-up here in '95 - putting will be crucial but already has a win under his belt in Hawaii, with a 4th in the Bob Hope and a top-20 last time. 50/1 is way too big.

SKIP KENDALL - 3rd here last year and hinted at a return to form with an 11th spot in the Honda Classic last time...bit of a gamble but at 100/1 I'm prepared to take that chance.

Roberts, Toms and Flesch are another 3 I will be watching closely.

Dogs took a nibble on your parlay. May the L's be with us.

I was looking at that Mccarron/Dimarco matchup myself. Will take it over 72;

McCarron -120 vs Dimarco @5Dimes

Played this one earlier this week, but forgot to post it;

Calcy -105 vs Durant @Sportsbetting for 2x

Odds have since changed.

Sure is tempting to back the Scott kid against Daly.If it wasn't for Daly being paired with Arnie and being on his best behavior for 2 days believe I would.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
added note for those having account @ Hills.
Seen at tip-ex that they have 3 man group betting with one group they like and I would MUCH agree on of Flesch @ 17/10 with Daly and Paulson.I seldon bet their group plays for having no outs but they are very good with them and this one sure look like a goody.

1st round results 1-1
McCarron beats Dimarco by 8
Herron loses to Janzen by 1(Last hole birdie)

72 hole standings
Lowery/Leonard 5up
Lowery/K Perry 5up
Flesch/Faxon 1 down

and speaking of sucking Lewis cost me a small fortune on $30 worth of 3balls today.He was lone loser in the the 3 L's and had additional one of 3L's plus Chamblee that would have returned $692 for $10.
However will get revenge on the third combo at Surrey but did involve 1 push. Have no idea what it pays cause they don't post payout.It looks like this:

Rusty, I don't to be able to identify myself too much - wouldn't want my employers to find out what takes up more of my time

- but let's say it's a quantitative subject, hence the statistical bias in my capping.

Some good additional F1 sites for this week's Malaysian GP would be:

At the cut:
3-2 on todays matches,1-1 on 72 holes with one remaining.
72 holes
Flesch/Fazon loss by 12
Lowery/Leonard win by 9
Lowery/Perry 6 up

todays matches
Langer/Oly win by 4
Garcia/Monty win by 3
Sluman/Faxon loss by 4
K Sutherland/Lickliter win by 2
Triplett/Mayfair loss by 1

3balls quite unusual: The Lewis and Lowery win BUT all 6 players involved shoot 2 under and not finished yet,in the 4 man Herrons match is also tied and a birdie by Monty on last hole kept all four matches from being tied.Chamblee was only loser by 1 to Monty.
Don't know what 1st 3ball will pay but in my previous experieces with ties at Sportingbet they will probably be billing me.

2nd round update: 4-2-0 and +3.45 units

Some strange scores on the links today so happy to take a profit on the day and only have Westwood as a loser. He lost by two to Chalmers and by three to Montgomerie. The margins of victory for the other four were Jimenez by 8 shots, Couples by 1 shot, Garcia by 3 shots and Lowery by 2 shots.

Five of the nine 72-hole plays were decided at the cut with three winners, though it was only a break-even performance as the two-unit play on Dunlap was a frustrating 1 shot loss to Daly. Elsewhere Norman beat Daly by 10 shots, Perry beat Appleby by 14 shots, Lehman beat Campbell by 9 shots and Flesch lost by 15 to Janzen. Currently break-even in the remaining 72-hole plays as well. Chalmers and Lickliter are both tied with their opponents, while Toms trails Stricker by one and Perry leads Chalmers by four.

Finally, in the outrights, Calc lost his share of the overnight lead and fell to 7th, though that is still only 2 shots out of the lead and Singh lies 3 shots further back in 19th place. Decent chance with those two, but not with Flesch whose tournament has finished on 10-over-par!
