Great day DTB

Should have just coat-tailed you instead!

3rd round update: 4-4-0 and -1.95 units

Rather lucky to get away with a break-even day for it was never looking good! Had liked so many matchups, but could even only hit one of the four 3-unit plays. Perry beat Goydos by four, but otherwise Couples lost to Westwood by five, Lowery lost to Westwood by two and Stricker lost to Mediate by ten. Westwood seems to be my bogey player of the week! Of the rest, Pavin lost by two to Faldo, Woods beat Garcia by two and Waite edged home by one shot in both his matchups.

Still split on the remaining 72-hole plays. Chalmers trails Ogilvy by three, Lickliter trails Paulson by one, Toms leads Stricker by three and Perry leads Chalmers by eight. Calc fell away today with a 75, but at least Singh took up the mantle and lies in 4th place, just 3 shots out of the lead. That makes it one selection in all four events this week in a place position with just 18 holes to go. Should make for interesting viewing tomorrow!

==========================

Got a nice surprise today when placing wagers @ Five Dimes. I recorded my Lowery play as being against Westwood in Access & in write-up, but play had been against Damron as listed in original '3rd round plays' post and it was a 3-shot winner

Changes perspective on day completely to a 5-3-0 and +4.35 units day, though was still rather fortunate to edge a couple of 1-shot wins

4th Round
72 hole cont @ Oly

Mick +135 over Singh (currently 1 down)
On strokes under par Mick has 23 to 15 advantage over Singh so far this tourny. If he can keep it out of the water and avoid the doubles a one stroke lead is not much to overcome and @ +135 I gotta take a look.

4th round all @ 5dimes
Chamblee -120 over Faldo
Choi -105 over O Browne
Ames -105 over Goosen
Toms -110 over Allenby

In light of Micks ability to get hot and Tigers last weeks collapse lack in the back of his mind decided to buy few shares on Mick @ $4 a share(25/1),a value in comparisons to S.B. 12/1 and Surrey's 18/1.
Plus he could get hot early and don't take much to drive price to $8 to unload half shares for free ride.

4th round results a very humiliating 0-4
Chamblee/Faldo loss by 2
Choi/Browne loss by 6
Ames/Goosen loss by 6
Toms/Allenby loss by 5

Remaining 72 Holes 2-0 (little consolation)
Lowery/Perry win by 9
Mick/Singh win by 5

Matches for week 11-9 ytd 70-62

Outrights none close -1 1/2 for week ytd +6.7

Three Balls -1 unit for week ytd +7.75
One hit involving all ties returned $1.90 profit so counted as push.

Now while I am in bad mood for being so inept today I have 2 major rants. The first on NBC for their non-golf coverage.2 weeks ago showed taped version for Ice Skating to air. This week in the heat of it with Tiger and Mick finishing they start coverage on 6th hole taped when the nut cutting was happening live.
The major rant on chickshit thieves at WSEX.While it tells you in small print they won't open interactives till tv coverages begins.Coverage began about 17 minutes before Mick finished. However they never reopened them all day.Now having contracts on Mick I would have sold 1/2 when he hit $10 if I was allowed to do so,so no big deal money wise. But if you think of all the people who could not bail on any players they had contracts on all day it was if fact a license to steal. As long as Tiger wins they sweep all others and their risk on Mick was very limited per $4 pre 4th round odds.
Interactive my a$$.Sorry for the rant

On the brighter side would like to congratulate Stan on winning contest this week as well as runner up last week.
Very Well Done Stan.

Final update: 3-1-0 and +4.80 units for the day; 18-9-0 and +15.17 units for the week

Chris Perry's triple-bogey on the last spoils the day a little as it results in a two-shot loss to Janzen, but otherwise it was a great day and a great week. Perry still managed a one-shot win over McCarron, while Hoch beat Janzen by one and McCarron by four. Three of the four remaining 72-hole plays are also winners: Chalmers beat Ogilvy by four, Toms beat Stricker by three and Perry beat Chalmers by six. The only loss was Lickliter, by four to Dennis Paulson. A winning record on the 72-hole plays and on each day

Update on outright plays: 1-2 and -1.75 units

Singh briefly threatened to catch Woods, but two double-bogeys on anyone's card will end their challenge. He finished 4th, but tied with three other, so the return is rather paltry @ 16/1. Calcavecchia had been leading after the 1st day, but went backwards thereafter. He finished 31st, which was still better than Flesch who had the weekend off.

Pleasing week also for bringing the PGA Tour matchups and total plays into the black for the year

PGA Tour ytd:
Matchups/props: 94-79; +9.99 units
Outright plays: 4-28; -8.25 units

Updated after conclusion of the Siebel Senior Classic:

All Tours ytd:
Matchups/props: 152-140; +2.04 units
Outright plays: 20-100; +62.14 units

Finally get the matchup plays for the year into the black. Maybe we're back to 'business as usual'
