There have been several instances of that. Once I got home at 4AM after playing poker, and in stead of waking her I laid down on the porch....

Once, hell... lots of times! :mj07:

Back when WalkOverYa was First Union, they screwed me out of a $350 cash deposit and never credited me back. I had asked my husband to make the deposit for me (actually had two deposits in the envelope, one cash and one checks). Mr. Lazy went to the ATM, entered the check deposit because it was on top but missed the cash deposit deeper in the envelope! He sealed the envelope and fed it into the slot. The bank insisted that the cash deposit wasn't made because they use a "buddy system" to reconcile the ATM deposits. I guess two buddies trashed the deposit slip and each got $175 bonuses that day! The bank wouldn't budge even when I requested the weight of the envelope from the register to try to prove that it was substantially heavier than the check deposit would have been.

I'm hoping I'm not in your boat on this one.

Just got a call. New Check card tomorrow.

It will now be 7 business days. They came out and unloaded the ATM and sealed the monies in a bag to be reconciled at a hidden lair or some shit.

I don't think I'll be seeing any of the $600 anytime soon.

I hinted to the wife, I could have lost it having fun in Indiana instead of the evil bank. She wasn't amused even going as far as saying WHO USES AN ATM TO PUT IN MONEY... !?! sigh.

1 year in and I'm developing a slight twitch...

I'm as sneaky and realize the value of the secret society idea as well as the next guy. I also consider myself a master of deception if need be. None of which is admirable behavior, but my vices are pretty tame, compared to some.

I've done the secret account thing, and usually alcohol takes over at bad times, and it blows up in my face. I guess I'm kind of stuck between the manning up/taking charge thing, and the secretive lowlife idea.

My wife has related stories from her divorce cases about what some guys have done and hidden from their wives and families, and it has given me a bit of a different outlook on that. And it's 99% the guys that do it.

That being said, there's nothing like hidden money that you've carefully worked to obtain and store away, that allows a good day to become a FANTASTIC day, and it can't be (immediately) traced.

To each their own, and good luck to all... :SIB
