1st round update:

No 1st round plays - waiting to see if the cross-course differences were as large as in previous years and they are, only problem being that the books are now pairing players on the same course each day
frown.gif
The 90-hole plays stand 2-1-0 after 18 holes: Azinger trails Sabbatini by one, Day leads Nobilo by four and Leonard leads Olazabal by two. Not so promising in the outrights, Duval may be 9th, but both Huston and Funk are back in 49th position. Still a long way to go though!

2nd round plays:

Robert Allenby to beat Jose Maria Olazabal -105 @ Five Dimes
Jeff Maggert to beat Steve Flesch -110 @ Sportingbet
Dudley Hart to beat Steve Jones -130 @ Five Dimes

3rd round
Virtually same matchups as yesterday and will make same plays.
Verplank +110 over Perry
Allenby -105 over Olazabal (no double play)

Off double play on this as Oly put a little fear in me with more birdies in last 9 holes than he did in prior 27.

The pup parlay is getting exciting as Zinger is only player in arrears,Huston is tied and all others are leading by 8 or more.May be some hedging after cut if Zinger hangs in there.

Interactives: Bought 2 contracts on Duval @ wsex for $14 a piece a little over 7 to 1 odds, much better than Sportingbets 4/1.
Setting in good shape currently and looking at Indian Wells today.

2nd round update: 0-2-1 and -2.40 units

Very close in all three matches, but left to rue chances that should have been converted. Allenby and Olazabal tied for a push, while Maggert and Hart closed their rounds with par-fives that are reachable in two and very birdiable. Maggert needed a par to win the matchup and dropped a shot; Hart needed a birdie to win the matchup and parred the hole
mad.gif

72-hole plays currently stand 2-1-0 with Azinger trailing Sabbatini by three, Day leading Nobilo by eight and Leonard leading Olazabal by two. Little move on the outrights, Duval is 10th, Funk is 43rd and Huston is 51st, though only Duval has yet to play Indian Wells by far the easiest course.

For the 3rd round plays, only the Starnet books offer matchups that feature players on different courses. Of note is Duval over Faxon with Duval playing Indian Wells and Faxon playing the hardest course, La Quinta. In the 1st round, Indian Wells was 1.4 shots easier than La Quinta and in yesterday it was 2.4 shots easier! Even accounting for different quality of player on each course, I get an average of 1 2/3 shots difference between them.

3rd round plays:

David Duval to beat Brad Faxon -180 @ Sportfanatik [2 units] - available at most Starnet books
Dudley Hart to beat Fred Funk +105 @ Intertops
Brent Geiberger to beat Jeff Maggert +115 @ Sportfanatik [2 units]
Tom Pernice to beat Paul Stankowski +100 @ Moneyplays [3 units]

Stan I am about to conclusion of avoiding these pro ams next year.Very irratic results on these pitch and putt courses. It also seems Mr Murphy hawks these events and puts the very worst on us punters as witnessed by yesterdays matches.

Dogs, you've probably already played it but Sportbet has C.perry/Verplank -152/+122.
-------------------------------------------
Alot of rain/cold weather down in Myrtle. Monday was a complete washout (the Crazy Horse girls have alot of my money
wink.gif
). However, we were able to get 36 in on Tuesday at Tidewater. What a fabulous course. They're owned by Troon. They treat you like royalty and the course gets hardly any play this time of year. Played pretty well if you exclude my putting woes. Shot an 88 at Tidewater with 7 3-putts.

Best round was an 85 ay Oyster Bay.

Ian....Yes I did and thanks to you & stanley for the help...I've got the same # of units on Arnie under 75 1/2, so I can either win both wagers or lose a little juice. Good position to be in......GO ARNIE!!!

3rd rd results 1-1
Verplank defeats Perry by 3
Allenby loses to Oly by 2

Oly shoots bout whats expected but I grossly over valued Allenby who shoots -3 and even last 2 days.Goes 2 over on last 3 today including a par 5.

Duval is flat disappointment and not so much in his play but his temperment. What ever happened to the cool emotionless player of old.Throws tantrums now of the Tiger of old.
He needs to hang out with Ernie or Freddy a while and get disposition in order.
--------------------------------------------Stan I can't believe the breaks you are getting.Pernice with 1 shot lead,Stankowski in trouble on last hole looking like par at best and holes it from fairway for eagle

Have a good weekend on your winnings, seriously considering opening an account at Sportsbook as I like their props

Gogel is a write off for me but all 4 match bets are doing well, might be a good wekend

Thanks Ian...Needed Arnie to go boggie-less for the last 8 holes. Didn't think he would pull it off.
I'll be rooting in your four match sweep over the weekend...Good luck

Was out last night so didn't watch the golf, but great to know Mr. Murphy is still f*cking with me! Thanks for the report DTB ... he holed from the fairway for a one-shot defeat of Toms - a 3-unit play??? I despair.

Anybody know what happened to Dudley Hart? Funk only shot 71 so should have been easy win ... Intertops have already graded it a loss, so he must have started
frown.gif

Have just read that Dudley Hart was disqualified after bending his putter and carrying on using it in adjusted shape! Anyone know what he would have scored??? I bet it was better than 71

Stan Just saw report also on Hart. What next?
Don't remember seeing his score at anytime.

Will elaborate a little on Stankowski last hole eagle. He hits it behind trees on left side of fairway with no shot at green, hoods 5 iron and does a little low running punch out to fairway and holes next shot for eagle.

Weird stuff going down,Durant with horrible putting stats has 25-24-16 in 3 days.
Murphy just isn't hanging out,he's pitched a tent.
=============================================
Since you didn't get to watch any of tourney I might add that Calc injured his knee during play and was very noticably limping through back nine. Was hitting drives right. However score does not dictate it as he got up and down from every where.Don't know how it will be today but no doubt it bothered him yesterday.

Thanks for the info DTB. Centrebet have Calc & Janzen in two-ball betting with Janzen +160 - might wait and see what other Euro books put up on that one and try to salvage a little lost treasure
wink.gif
Took Janzen +140 @ Intertops to avoid those pesky ties!

3rd round update: 1-2-1 and -1.70 units

Geiberger beat Maggert by three and as for Duval, Hart and Stankowski, there just aren't enough expletives to describe them right now!

By the law of averages, then there must be the perfect sweep week just around the corner!!

Still the same position in the 72-hole plays: Azinger trails Sabbatini by four, but Day leads Nobilo by five, as does Leonard over Olazabal, while Toms leads Flesch by thirteen and Geiberger leads Blake by four. After Duval's performance the outrights looks a write-off.

4th round plays:

Stephen Ames to beat Glen Day -105 @ GoTo Casino [can't get into Moneyplays at the moment]
Fred Funk to beat Stewart Cink +100 @ Carib
Brad Faxon to beat Fred Couples -125 @ Five Dimes [3 units]
Billy Mayfair to beat Brent Geiberger -105 @ GoTo Casino [2 units]

4th round-no plays

Been waiting on $plays and finally got in to see if they would again offer Verplank @ +odds vs Perry.Much to my dismay they have taken that match down. While 5dimes is offering @ -115 I believe I'll sit today out.
I am totally clueless what is going down in this event. The perannual great putters are dogging it and the kids are running em in from every where. Will wait till tomorrow when they toughen it up a little.

Will play a 2ball combo @ Sportingbet for 1 unit (ties lose)as an after thought. Will give me a little action anyway. $10 wager returns $120
Maggert over Flesch 1/1>Zinger over Stricker
11/8>Janzen over Calc 7/4

---------------------------------------------

Would be leary of these scores.Seems scores are mixing amatuers scores in.Have seen several corrected.Just put up 2 on par 5 for zinger and doubt if thats correct.
=============================================

Stan ole pal: Been watching the Flesch/Maggert match and am in disbelief at the ending. You can almost feel it coming.
