RD12 - M needs KO, looks incapable. B lands big shots. M hurt, staggered to ropes. Down. Ref steps in - Burgos sudden KO in the 12th. Nice finish.

Good call on Burgos guys!! Martinez tough I guess, but couldn't call him live.

Anyone got a count of the offical scorecards?

Ouma only a buck fifty in this fight. Hasn't been this light in nearly a decade.

The advice of some witch doctor, no doubt.:142smilie :142smilie :mj07: :mj07:

Thx for the updates tonight Quanah, Ghost, Braniac and anyone else. I didn't have the time earlier to stop and read them but it's nice to see what transpired, even after the fact.

Thanks

Thanks

To Matt... I'm sure you've realized that I've copied your weekly picks format. I thought it was a very organized way to display picks, so I followed. Imitation is the best form of flattery right? I also wanted to mention that I think you are one of the most solid, logical cappers here...and I would like to see more posts from you.

Thanks for the kind words Quanah. You and the veterans here to a great job on gathering info for the upcoming fights, so we can make more informed picks. Also, Ghost Kid does a great job keeping this boxing forum running smooth. I enjoy boxing too much to not post messages at the best boxing forum.

Good Luck Saturday! :00x2

Went 1-2 yesterday for small loss overall. Shoulda just stuck with main play of OVER in Burgos fight.

Went a tad too big with dog Martinez, and would have to classify McIntyre as my frist stupid play of the year...will try to minimize those. Duped by favorable odds there...

Another lesson for me. Make your plays first and look at odds second. Stick with top picks. I can be prone to chasing good odds.

So, it all comes down to Martirosyan fight. If he stops Ouma will be another good week. Odds on UNDER have gone from +200 to +105.

Anyone know what time this fight will start?

Boxing-Hard Rock LV tonite

Boxing-Hard Rock LV tonite

I'm going down there tonite and I would'nt mind having some action going. Since I am incapable of picking Mike Tyson out of a bowl of rice, if anyone has a bet they LOVE, I'd like to hear bout it.

Joksan Hernandez can't get in the USA

Joksan Hernandez can't get in the USA

NOTE: The scheduled co-main event between Miguel Angel Garcia and Joksan Hernandez has been nixed. Hernandez was unable to enter the U.S. due to visa problems. The pro debut of amateur standout Jose Benavidez and an eight-round featherweight bout between Magdaleno and Robles will be televised in place of Garcia-Hernandez.

What's up with 150lbs??? He looks to be in fighting shape but I'd think he'd be much weaker coming in that light. I like the under and hit it @+120... I also like free money so I hit the over @+115. You guys that got on this for good odds (+200 open :scared) early on have some nice scalp options. I'm not exactly encouraging it but you can never go wrong with free dough. I didn't want to gamble away a nice winning week just in case Ouma is prepared to go rds so I scalped it. I do think Freddie Roach is going to implore Vanes to go after him and get him out of there. Best of Luck UNDER bettors!

Yeah, he does look solid but 150 is light. I expect Ouma to take a lot of shots tonight. He does have a beard but he really hasn't fought anyone quite this quick and sharp in quite some time, if ever.

Yes, Taylor cracked him a lot but his shots always came in "fat" as Teddy Atlas might say. And it appears that fight was the beginning of the end for Ouma. Ouma gave a good effort but it seems that once a fighter goes up in weight, and does it right like Ouma did, it's only diminishing returns when they drop back down. Ouma lost his next fight against slow and predictable Saul Roman.

Wild line movement on the Ouma-Vanes 9.5 line

I could be wrong, but I think I have seen the over anywhere from -260 Thursday to +120 now

:scared :scared :scared :scared

I actually think it is going to be very close to that 9.5
anything early in the fight would be QUITE a statement from the Armenian

Rubio vs. Alvarez

Rubio vs. Alvarez

PESAJE_RUBIO_Y_ALVAREZ_NF1.JPG

Man, Rubio has a rough skin condition. Looks like he's always peeling from the mother of all sunburns.

What does the board think of this fight?

My thoughts on Rubio vs. Alvarez:

I don't trust Rubio one bit. He should be favored, but the line is too wide for my liking.

I will never forget that KO against Jantuah. He got starched. He is only 29, but he has been in wars with Zertuche and Ornelas.

I think Rubio wins tonight, but I think Alvarez will give him a few scares.

At the odds, I can't blame anyone taking a small shot on the unknown Alvarez. +250.

I am staying far away from this one.

Same for me regarding Rubio fight. He's the favorite, but always seems vulnerable. I don't know, this Alvarez is a strong kid...brother of welter prospect Saul. Forced to choose, I'd rather root for Alvarez at +3 than sweat it out with Rubio at -5.

Agreed. I had Rubio for pretty big dough v Ornelas and I really had to sweat that one out. Evan is on the dog and without knowing much about Alvarez, I'd still say he's a bit live. I thought Rubio showed a good beard v Pav but both these guys can crack so I can't even make a half/ass prediction on the over/under. I'm staying away but if forced to pick, I'd take the dog @+270. He just might be getting Rubio at the right time.
