Shumenov's Decision: Protest Coming, Investigation Too
http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=25007

"In one of the worst decisions I have ever witnessed, Beibut Shumenov (9-1, 6KOs) was awarded a twelve round split-decision victory over Gabriel Campillo (19-3, 6KOs) to capture the WBA light heavyweight title on Friday night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judge Levi Martinez had an accurate score of 117-111 in favor of Campillo. Jerry Roth had a very off night with his final tally of 115-113 in favor of Shumenov, and Particia Morse Jarman should be banned from judging after submitting her horrendous score of 117-111 in favor of Shumenov.

BoxingScene.com had it 116-111 in favor of Campillo. "

Thank for updates Ghost!
For tomorrow I like
Mads Larsen
Helenius
Helenius seems like unpopular choice by many, but I like him to win. I think Brewster doesn't have it anymore anyway. Many Brewster late fights he did not look sharp.
Besides Sautherland rarely make mistakes in matchmaking.

Thanks Ghost!

Thanks Ghost!

a few points:
I had it 8 to 4 Campillo, but I KNEW if Shum was standing at the end we had a chance
and he fought like a lion (even when getting battered)
he earned his way to the cards, and then it was in the hands of the blind

I want to give credit to my friend Graham Houston, who was ON THE MONEY with his pick of Campillo and deserved to cash this....you were spot on and I hope this didnt cost you too much

as for me personally, I WAS LARGE on Beibut and I will cash this DIRTY ticket with pleasure

So many robberies in 2009
Botha
Sergio Martinez
I could go on and on and on
I was slammed in the butthole more times than i can count
so I have no problem screwing the books here

hell, just last week, Brainiac was robbed blind in the Napa fight

Beibut earned us this one by staying on his feet
Did he win? NO
Do I have a problem cashing this?
HELL NO !!!!!!

:00hour :00hour :00hour :00hour

I am waiting on a call from ringside regarding Eloy's bout
he is fighting now

Thank you Ghost ... I believe I was on the right side but of course two of the judges didn't see it that way. I had no doubt that Campillo won that fight. It reminded me of the second Mosley vs Winky Wright fight, both hard fights, very similar -- the fight, if you remember, when Mosley blasted away at (mostly) arms and gloves and then Winky came on, walked him down and hit him with quick punches through the middle to win most of the rounds... Usually when I take a position on a fighter I tend to give the other guy the benefit of the doubt in the close rounds and, that said, I just couldn't see how Beibut won this fight. But, good luck to Beibut, he showed a lot of guts... I only had minimal exposure on the fight, Ghost; I liked Campillo in the fight but I had a kind of sixth sense that something might go wrong. Maybe the next decision like this will go my way. ... Well done, Shumenov backers. ... For the thousandth time, when a fight goes to the cards and it has been in any way competitive you can NEVER be sure how the judges will see it.

Any take on Pulev vs Skelton fight today ? Does the old man have anything left or is he coming over for the last paycheck , ty . Seems like a setup to make Pulev look good .

Hey guy's what's up?

Had a crazy freakin' day today, the crux of which had my good friend getting bit by a rattlesnake...no joke. He's alright. Foot is swollen up like a balloon.

Caught a bad stream of Melendez fight. Fuk. I got it wrong man. Ruiz performed at a much higher level than I gave him credit for. Melendez was strong at end, but plodding throughout. Shit! That one stings.

RESULT
Ruiz W12 Melendez

Avalos came thru...but still. Need Eloy now.

I like Helenius and Larsen today. I wish I had time to tell you why, but it looks like they gave my friend the wrong anti-venom... We gotta take him back to the hospital... Unreal.

I like Pulev to win ... Skelton looked old and weary against Pianeta
