Anyone catch what Froch said in the post fight interview regarding the scores?

Something to the effect of:
"I definitely won the fight....should have been unanimous....but the guy who gave it to Dirrell was Mexican"

:scared :scared :scared :scared :scared

I'm sure the guy isn't racist, but that comment didn't go over to well in the room of guys I watched with....very incorrect pairing of words on the cobra's part...

RESULT
RIOS wins, UNDER hits

Unbeaten super featherweight Brandon Rios (22-0-1, 14 KOs) scored a seventh round TKO over Manny Perez (14-5-1, 2 KOs) on Saturday night at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi, Texas. Rios punished Perez from the get-go and the bout was finally waved off at 1:16 of round seven.

NO RESULT found yet on Ayala-Simon

Anyone catch Tarver start off the post fight analysis with Crotch.... he eventually said excuse me, Froch.. Sure there's some great handspeed and reflexes on Durell but he's not a fighter and did hold excessively, complained a bit too much, and fought too negative IMO. A bit mentally weak. I'll agree on the point deduction from Dirrell but Froch could have easily had a point deducted. Great post fight interview from Froch, always liked that cat since he came to the States and looked to the ref to stop the fight before he did some real damage to Henry Porras. Abraham is one strong mofo... poor JT

Simon won

Simon won

Friday night at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, USBA champion Lajuan Simon (22-2-2, 12 KOs) retained his title with a twelve round unanimous decision win over game challenger Elvin Ayala (20-4-1, 9 KOs). The fight started out like the title was going to change hands as Ayala won the first two rounds on all scorecards. But in the third round Simon took over and proceeded to win the remaining ten rounds on one card and nine of the remaining ten on the other two scorecards. The final scores were 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111

good weekend!

taylor really was in good shape, but he should take a longer break from the sport. thats one thing I really dont like about this tourney, maybe he feels obliged to contiune, but IMO he shouldnt.

abraham didnt look as relaxed as he usually does, and he doent look that physically imposing anymore...well, thats hardly a surprise, but that defence really makes him hard to beat (especially for these stick and move boxers, and this tourney is full of them).

I watched the Dirrel fight from the 5th round onwards, and even though I was on Dirrell, I thought he lacked a bit in will and body language.
He could have done better. Its hard to say because I havent seen the first few rounds. but there were a lot of round where I thought, close round, but he cant expect to win this round in England. oh, and that ref was awfully biased.
this fight really was all about location.

Hmm, I wonder who would be a good replacement for Taylor....

somebody mentioned allan green....he`s probably not a threat to win the thing, but his height and power would make him a much more interesting option than a shot taylor...

we all respect these fighters...some of us were diasappointed in dirrell`s commitment to win through the first half of the fight, but he`s still pretty green and this was quite a shock to his system(fighting in such a high profile fight on enemy turf),but he tried hard down the stretch.......

taylor scares me...i think if he continues to fight such high profile opponents in succession,he`s gonna eventually be seriously hurt or be permanently damaged over the long haul...

imo,i hope a doctor or some commission intervenes on his behalf...the guy needs to take some time off,or be given a few soft fights to reestablish his confidence and give him some time to heal...to many concussions in a row...lost 4 of his last 5(3 by k.o.)...

i was a little hard on abraham...truth is,i still don`t have a feel for how good the guy is...maybe he`s every bit as good as the linesmakers believe(the odds that i saw had him installed as almost a co-fave with kessler)...so,i`ll back off on my criticism...he`s very tough,no doubt...he continues to win....and that`s the name of the game..i tend to get carried away if i don`t like a particular style, and that`s not being objective...the guy`s a winner...

Viable guys to replace Taylor

Viable guys to replace Taylor

Allen Green, Sakio Bika, Librado Andrade, Robert Steiglitz, Denis Inkin or Karoly Balzsay. Bute has no interest. Love to see Andrade get the nod. I actually think Andrade could get some wins in the tourney. I think he'd kick the shit out of Froch, probably handle the inexperienced Andre's and a fight with Abraham would be like the irresistible force versus the immovable object. Kessler result probably wouldn't change but I'd still watch it again.

Even though I think Froch is a dirty bastard and didn't deserve the nod last night, he is still my personal hero for this:

Valuev is at the card. Hate to be sitting behind him!

Hi Kramden, just saw you on TV sitting there behind "the gigant". Totally agree with you this is maybe the worst seat... :0corn

btw. this was a very nice weekend for me I hope that this will continue.

Congrats to all winners.

@ Ghost you are right... maybe he is not the best fighter but he has got a good taste regarding girls!

Just an outstanding article from Graham Houston regarding last night's decision in Nottingham. A pleasure to read:
http://www.fightwriter.com/?q=node/2422

"Location. Location. Location"

I read it myself and thought it was a good piece. It explains countless fights. Perhaps a little unfair judging and biased reffing but no robbery. I had dough on Dirrell and from what little I saw, I thought he was winning but I also give credit to aggression when fights are close and I can't argue giving the fight to Froch. Pretty big of Graham to say this even though he picked Direll in his column and I thought he pegged both title fights on the button. Most journalists will make every argument in the book to validate their pick. It's often why "press row" is split on many fights.
