BOTHA WINS !

WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!
The worst decision in boxing history !!!!!!
I can't believe it
Botha wins Majority
FUCKING BULLSHIT
I HATE BOXING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a HORENDOUS piece of fcking sht of a dec!!! And I didn't even watch it, but i'm certain Ghost gave accurate updates.
Feel bad for all the Carrion backers. Apparently in Germany, all you have to do is be standing up at the end if you are the home town fighter. Bad ending note on an otherwise good day.

wait a second
115 115
that can't be right
something must have been announced wrong
like last week, when Buffer announced 116-116 on the JuanMa-Mtagwa fight
115-115 is wrong...it has to be

Yep I saw it, Carrion won the fight.

Yep I saw it, Carrion won the fight.

Awful decision
Graham, did you happen to see this?
did anyone else?
This was the worst I have ever seen.
I have never heard a crowd boo so loud in Germany
there is no way this was on the up and up
NO WAY

I don't know what the hell these judges are looking at these days. The DSF coverage I saw was joined in round five. I thought the Cuban had the better of Rd. 5 and I then had Carrion winning rounds 6,7, 8, 9 and 10 (but round 7 became 9-9 because of the unwarranted point being taken); I gave Botha the 11th and Carrion the 12th. So, even if Botha won the first four rounds, which I didn't see, he would still have lost 7-5 in rounds on my card , a one-point win for Carrion due to him having the point docked. (And that is giving Botha the benefit of the doubt in the four rounds that I didn't see.) Even Botha knew he lost; he had the body language of a loser.

I don't know yet what the final scores were, but I have a horrible feeling that by Ian John-Lewis docking Carrion a point it deprived Carrion players of at least getting a "push" grading.

What can you do? That's boxing!

even so
if 115 - 115
is wrong
Botha would still win a majority
due to the other 2 morons

That one point cost Carrion players ...

That one point cost Carrion players ...

115-114, 114-114, 114-113

These are the scores that Fightnews are reporting.

Yep, without that point being taken, the fight would have been a draw and Carrion backers would at least have got their wager refunded with a "push" grading ... very tough break all-round for the Carrion side. Botha's first reaction: "Well, the judges scored it the way they scored it ..." (or words to that effect). He knew he dodged a bullet.

As I say, ad infinitum, when a fight goes to the cards these days you ALWAYS have to hold your breath ....

I can't imagine scoring these rounds for Botha
I wish more people saw this fight
The German crowd was irate - you couldn't even hear the Botha interview
these rounds WERE NOT hard to score
Carrion controlled the entire fight with a jab and BIG right hands.
Botha layed on the ropes, and occasionally dove in and held.
Botha has had a lot of close decisions in his career-this should not have been one of them.
He got the piss and snot knocked out of him
VERY VERY UNFAIR to Carrion backers.
I want to punch a wall righ now - I AM PISSED !!!!!

fightnews report:
Botha gets by Carrion

41-year-old WBF heavyweight titleholder Francois Botha (48-4-2, 28 KOs) won an unpopular majority decision over 39-year-old former Cuban national team member Pedro Carrion (8-2, 6 KOs) on Saturday night at the Anhalt Arena in Dessau, Germany. Botha has difficultly at times with Carrion?s height and the bout resembled a sparring session as it proceeded at a slow, mostly uneventful pace. In the end, scores were 114-110, 115-115, 114-113. After the bout, Botha said he hurt his right hand in the first round.

that fight news report really doesn't tell the story
more accurate would be "a sparring session for the Cuban"
BOTHA DIDN"T DO ANYTHING TO WIN THE ROUNDS !!!!!!

The problem I see with this Graham, is that more and more people are being turned off boxing by the political bullshit and there is now another game in town with MMA.

And what is it with Botha getting these tight decisions in Germany??

This is the third time Botha has scraped through in Germany in fights he could have lost on the cards: versus Axel Schultz (I thought he was fortunate to win that); Timo Hoffman (didn't see it but essentially a one-point win for Botha) and now this. Amazing!
