Broadly speaking, Paul, you are right. I think there are a number of reasons why boxing is losing/has lost much of its popularity, but there is the prevalent feeling in the public mind that boxing is a crooked sport. Decisions such as the one in Germany today don't help.
For a long time I have never revealed I am into boxing when I first meet new people, at least not till I get to them better, because I am so tired of the usual reaction: "Of course, it's all fixed, isn't it?"
Of all the sports in the history of the world, no sport has been as consistent in shooting itself in the foot as the sport of boxing.

The problem I see with this Graham, is that more and more people are being turned off boxing by the political bullshit and there is now another game in town with MMA.
