I saw Castillo today...He has his head shaved almost bald but just enough hair to make his hair rough like sandpaper to probably try to cut Corrales with...

Flipper is very touchy when it comes to Chico
Corrales. It's just how he rolls.

Lol guys, I have been waiting for this thread for weeks...Wonder how many units Box has on Castillo...I'm still waiting for the books to adjust the line as they usually do when Box speaks (posts).

Frank, what are you up to for the fight?
I got family in town this weekend so I will be watching from home. :cursin:

Castillo/Corrales

Castillo/Corrales

I still don't understand how this fight isn't even money. They're just so similar and if Corrales fights inside again it will be a dead even fight again. Plus, don't forger Castillo fought 8 weeks before the first fight and only trained 6 weeks. I'm liking Castillo by late KO.

Also going with Hussein on the undercard. I think he'll fair much better teh second time around.

Spread...good to see you back in the game and posting

Damien...haven't seen you around in a while, glad you're back and posting also.
I agree, this fight is a pick'em, gotta love the + money on Castillo.
Good point about Jose being undertrained for the first fight.

Flipper...I've seen plenty of you lately...lol
Don't expect any big line moves due to my play on Castillo...

1) Castillo +135 has been posted in my futures for at least a month, most of my loyal tailers have already gootn down on it by now

2) This is a mainstream fight between two well-known guys, there has already been plenty of money layed and there will be a sh*tload more by fightime. I seriously dought this line will move based on my post, but you never know.

"the bunker"
i have to think castillo knows it`ll be a very tough chore to get the nod vs the house guy.....

i`ve heard guys say that chico will use his height this time....when did he ever?

i`ve never seen him use his height...except the second casamayor fight when casamayor stayed outside...not chico....and casamayor and castillo are like night and day...

corrales is a puncher....his stock and trade is brutalizing guys...

castillo is a "wear down guy"...he chops guys down....

i made a little jack going against courtney burton and ebo elder immediately after they almost killed one another in their fight....

i think the same thing could happen here....one...or maybe both guys left a piece of themselves in the ring that night....

it was brutal....both guys were hurt badly...several times.....and both have been in other wars....

the problem is that i have no idea who will be more compromised....

i couldn`t pick this fight....have no idea...you could argue that corrales caught the breaks being the house fighter...he could easily have been stopped if not for extra time given....

and you can say that castillo`s aura of invincibility has been shattered... some guys are never the same after getting stopped for the first time......and he was brutally stopped...

but,as somebody else said,i`m not sure either guy can change his style....maybe corrales can try and use his height....but,he will ultimately, imo, revert to his old style when things get hot.... i just don`t see goossen trying to tamper with corrales at this point in his career...

that`s why i took both guys inside the distance....
maybe they fight soft...but,i don`t see it.....

somebody shouldn`t be able to handle the heat....that last fight should linger with somebody...maybe both....

how do they fight differently?....people expect another classic....they are making history....

castillo can`t change....not with the height disadvantage....

and can anybody see corrales back pedaling while jabbing?.....i can`t....i`ve never seen him do that...

i really believe that somebody`s d-ck`s gonna be a little shorter after that last fight.....

we`ll see saturday night.....

The fight of uncertainty, I have to agree. Corrales took the worse beating but that ending was just brutal for Castillo. I don't think it's going 12 either. Only thing I disagree with you about is that Castillo had been stopped against Cesar Soto. not a cuts stoppage a stoppage similiar to the end of the Corrales fight. The thing is, Castillo don't show much intelligence when he gets hurt he reacted the same way against Soto as he did against Corrales. Didn;t hold or anything just got bashed until the ref was forced to stop it.

"the bunker"
that soto stoppage slipped by me....back in "93"...whoa.....

good point about castillo,mayorga...doesn`t look like castillo can adapt when he`s hurt.....

while corrales uses every option at his disposal to try and survive....

i `ve been hard on corrales...regarding the way the last fight went down....but,he did what he had to do...i never blamed him... ..he has a voice like a 13 year old.....and a george gervin-esque physique...

but he comes to win...absolutely no quit in him...

he has some seriously hard bark on him...

and...as mayorga indicated,he is the smarter guy during crunch time....

will that help him do it again?....

i don`t have a frickin` clue...

Guys, I don't know what to tell you but there is a reason why Corrales remains a -145 favorite even though our boxing handicapping hero Boxlocks went with Castillo...

You will see a better Corrales than the last fight...You guys will see soon enough...Box is smart not to unload on Castillo...His bet will be saved when Chico knocks out Castillo early. :box2:

flipper...i had no idea you were such a rabid corrales fan....

if i`d known,i wouldn`t have argued the outcome of the first fight so vehemently.....

ummm???...no,i probably would have....lol

it`s o.k. to be a fan....

you may be right.....it`s gonna be interesting to see if goossen tries to change strategy....that`s the one aspect of this thing that has me ????....besides the outcome....

i`m thinking that it will have to eventually boil down to another test of wills....

hopefully,another classic...

it's okay GW...

This fight won't be the classic such as the first one...This will be a cut clear ko by Corrales leaving no doubt which of the two is the better boxer overall... :mj14:

Adjusting

There's a better play on the board now for the Castillo-Corrales under. Pinnacle and 5dimes have the under 10.5 at +113. When I posted the under in my futures, I didn't know a better line would come out. I still like the under 9.5 at +135 or better and I'm letting it ride personaly. But I have to recommend the best play out there.

Castillo-Corrales under 10.5 +113...to win .25

not that it matters much to you all, but I strongly agree with Boxlocks recent advice on the under...If you haven't played it yet, then under 10.5 +113 is virtually stealing...

I too already bit and played under 9.5 as well.

I too played the under for this one...while it could be another Ali-Frazier, the most probable outcome after these kind of wars is a stoppage.

i would never discourage anyone taking a flyer on a 4-1 underdog that`s on a roll....but,sans a cut,i`m not sure that pacquaio is big or strong enough to handle hernandez.....

hernandez is 34...and has been fighting nothing but tough fights recently.....but,i think pacquaio may be in a bit over his head here....

i may figure out some goofy parlays with hernandez and renato sobral in the ufc....possibly with forrest griffin or maybe arce....

arce`s so "hell bent for leather",that he scares me....the guy is fearless...and crazy.....

but,he`s careless...

i`m surprised that so many think that corrales/castillo goes the route......that`s not what i see...

but, maybe i`m not looking at this one correctly...
