It doesn't matter how many points they take, you can't give a fighter more than 10 seconds to recover. The points only matter if the fight goes the distance and that fight was obviously not going the distance.
Untill they adjust the rules to where a fighter only gets 10 seconds to recover from a kd, the problem will remain the same.
The rules say the ref has to replace the mouthpiece at the next lull in action, right now a kd is considered a lull in action and it shouldn't be. Either the rule needs changed or a kd can't be considered a lull, something has to give.
The fight has to continue when the ref counts to 10, its that simple.
