Hatton should have gotten the nod, but still a winning day for the board...congrats Lord, Weepaul, Quanah....

Let's keep it rolling ! Go Melligan !!!!!

I know I can't believe he didn't get the win there. i don't understand how N'dou was able to pull off getting an overall neutral judging panel. Why weren't there 3 UK guys there. Or how come it wasn't just a refs decision. Where was corpulent Terry O'Connor when you need him?

I am, reluctantly, going to have to go against the grain tonight in the Melligan-Rosales fight. I think Romi has a good take on the fight, Melligan is also house fighter...this fight is made for him to win, but....I just don't think he will. If Melligan passes this test, he is legit prospect, and I will be a believer.

Rosales is better than people give him credit for. Has been ko'd, but is always in heated fights. He's a big welter, and will come right at young Melligan. If Melligan can handle pressure, he will win...maybe in 2 or 3 fights, but I think this comes too quick...and Rosales finally gets a big win.

Take a good look at Rosas-Catubay over my friends!!

If you like him, the price is now excellent.

Going to stick with Melligan (is that Philipino/Irish:shrug: ) despite the scalp option and went with the over on rosas. Good luck!

Terrible news.....another soldier fighting for his life....
Z Gorres in critical condition

We?re sad to report that bantamweight contender Z Gorres is in critical condition and undergoing surgery in a Las Vegas Hospital at this moment to relieve pressure on the brain. He collapsed after winning a ten rounder over Luis Melendez. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this great fighter.

Wonder how this will effect Pac's state of mind tomorrow?

Over hits in the Rosas-Catubay fight!!!! :00hour :00hour :00hour :00hour That pleases me!!

Nice Romi!! :mj06: Hope that takes some of the sting of the Melligan fight away... What's the lesson there? Never trust a philipino who claims to be irish, or vice-versa...I don't know. But it sounds to me like the fight could have gone either way.

Damn damn damn. I read the 1st fightnews comments and was hoping it was strictly precautionary. Just hope the guy makes it through.

Big loss tonight but the above puts it all in perspective. None of this is ever worth anyone's health and well being.

Excellent capping Brother! Wish I had listened to you twice now this week but I heeded your advice on one and your confidence on the over on rosas had me wagering it. It took a little sting out :mj06: Muchos gracias!

Thanks mon... Sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't. Sure is nice when things go how you think. I've had a difficult slide over the past couple of months, so hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

There are some good opportunities tonight me thinks. Still thinking some things over... Be back with picks a little later.

How are you feelin' about the big show tonight?

Undecided but thinking about a wager on Cotto...now +260. Pac is a great fighter and if he pulls it off, perhaps he slips into top 10 all time p4p. Even though he's the big favorite it would still be quite an accomplishment.

I have a rare mma wager on Vera. If Couture can still do it at 46 then all the power to him but well worth a wager @-110 on vera IMO. Late money going on vera as the odds have now changed to -130.

I'm gonna go ahead and throw a small wager down on the Frenchman Affif to upset A.Lee. Lee 'probably' wins this fight, but I do not make it a sure thing - odds should be about half of what they are. I still have not forgiven Lee for losing to face-first B.Vera. I mean, how good can you be if Vera ko's you? Granted, Affif is not a puncher, and not the prototype that will give Lee problems, but he is a solid guy, with many good wins in France. Affif was outclassed by African N'jikam, who I think would mop the canvas with Lee. This is the best opponent Lee has faced... Ireland site makes a decision very difficult, but at big odds I'll take a small shot.

I rarely go on MMA either. I just don't like it...I'm a boxing purist... but the 46 years sold me. I'm gonna put a small wager down on Vera over couture. This Vera wouldn't by any chance be the brother of the stiff who ko'd Lee, would he?

Lee was incredibly OVER hyped by Steward. I was rellishing the thought of him stepping it up and betting against him...just didn't think Vera would be the one to beat him. No relation at all to Brandon Vera. I actually know Brandon's father in law. He doesn't encourage betting but he feels confident that Brandon retires Couture today. Brandon's wife Kerri is fighting Coutures ex wife next week I believe.

I only got him at just over 5. Unfortunately, I'm limited with my book options. I saw Affif as high as +1000 :scared . at UK books.

btw. I hope to have some more draw's tonight as there are some very nice lines out there! You all may have a look.

Good luck to everyone
