Winner Winner Turkey Dinner
I had pennies down, but hope everyone else made a killing
I only need Barker and Bute now in my gigantic 50 dollar parlay
:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

Damn, how annoying was that dude doing the round by round over at the other site? It was like he wanted to keep the result a secret or something with his stupid last post.....geez.....

Weekend plays:

Concepcion-Leyva UNDER 6.5 (-130) - medium. Odds have gone up considerably now. Leyva is fodder for Concep first title defense. Concep likes to come out quick and bomb away...bad news for Leyva, who has been ko'd numerous times. Can't see it going into the 7th.

Barker-Elcock UNDER 8.5 (-125) - medium. Barker settling down on his punches more now. Elcock seems shot at 35. Barker will not want to be outdone by Macklin, who ko'd Elcock. I think Barker has a certain star quality and looks to make a statement here.

Parlay - Guzman, Barker (-160) - medium. Got Guzman at -200, which I thought was pretty good. Funeka is a tough prospect for anyone, and the Campbell fight will have helped him. I think Guzman is a special fighter though...and will not suffer his first loss here. If Guzman fights like he did against H.Soto, he will win easy.

-- Also made a sizeable play on a 4way parlay with Barker, Guzman, Bute, and Molina which got me +200. All, except for maybe Barker, are in tough...But I think they all come through.

Maybe something else comes up, but that's it for right now.

Good luck! :box2:

Juan Palacios: "I was cheated"
The fighter loses his interim title against Thailand's Sithsamerchai by majority decision

Juan Palacios lost his interim title by majority decision this morning in the unification bout of the crown of 105 pounds to Thai WBC champion now absolute Sithsamerchai.

The fight in Thailand, according to the report of the palace itself, unfairly favored the local fighter.

"What does not seem right to me is that when he tied, I was pulling punches and the referee held my hand up for him not to and then he hit me. I also gave him my head in the third assault and I accidentally dropped one point from the referee. But after I pitched in the sixth he gave me a wound on his brow and did not take away any points, "said Juan Palacios minutes after having been stripped of his interim title.

"The truth is that I feel cheated, because with a neutral referee would not let him tie up so much and I had not taken point by an accidental head butt and then you do not remove any of it when I cut his head, the story would be different" , said the Nicaraguan from Thailand.

"It was a crazy theft, you'll see when the video comes to Nicaragua. For that reason, here in Thailand is managed can have an immediate rematch, "said Kendrick Garcia, the former monarch coapoderado of 105 pounds.

According to reports from the agencies, Palacios outscored in the first half of the fight with a boxing speed, excellent leg movements and a striking speed, which allowed him to get into complications nica.

Moreover, the match referee to deduct a point to Palacious in the third assault for hitting his head, which ultimately affected the brave Nicaraguan fighter.

From the eighth round, Palacios was the more aggressive fighter, was always above Sithsamerchai, who devoted himself to moor and maintain minimal advantage in their favor. The Thai was submitted by Palacios on the final leg of the battle, but managed to stand up imposed by judges decision.

At the end of the fourth assault, Sithsamerchai was ahead on the scorecards 40-36, 39-36 and 40-36. At the end of the eighth, Palacios shook some differences 79-74, 77-75 and 78-74, but could never get the coup de grace to allow him to send to the canvas to skilled Thai fighter still fighting abroad . Judge Franz Marti scored 115-114 in favor of Sithsamerchai, like Jae-Bong Kim 116-114. Benjamin Rendon declared a draw 114-114.

With this win adjusted Sithsamerchai improved to 33-0 with 12 knockouts, while Palacios deteriorated to 26-3, always with 21 knockouts. Palacios lost step straw WBC belt after two successful defenses, while the Asian raised in this manner his fourth defense of the green and gold belt of the Council.

I saw fight. Palacios was very aggressive and press action. Oleydong was much more accurate. I say it could be a draw. In Nicaragua Palacios probably won. But if he really wanted to win on score cards what in the world he did by going to Thailand?
