you know...maybe i jumped the gun...left hook lacy...through the first 7 rounds,is a one handed fighter....
his left hook is mia....and now lampley is saying a that lacy injured the shoulder....
that may explain why he struggled so much here...
i haven`t seen one vicious left hook...to the body or head....and that ain`t lacy...

i`m stupified.....the moronic hbo crew...can`t see that lacy hasn`t thrown a left hand since the around the 3rd round...and never threw one to the body.....even though he`s called "left hook" lacy.....and they`re icing his shoulder between every round....

lacy threw nothing with the left....and when the ref raised his hand,he winced and pulled it down.....

Are you sure he hurt his shoulder? I did notice that he was almost completely using just his right hand but I watched it on SKY so they went to commercials between rounds so we didn't get to see the corner.
I think the beating he took from Calzazaghe has damaged him, his confidence was one of his major assets.
The inactivity probably has affected him too, he should be built back up on the bottom of undercards for the next year, fighting once every 2/3 months.

you could very well be right.....the calzaghe beating may well have implications reaching far beyond their bout....
and as you noticed several threads up,i was more than willing to throw lacy under the bus after seeing the results(but before seeing the bout)...
but after watching it,i saw nothing from the left hand..i mean nothing.....actually it was after the second round....it was as though he had a palsied left arm....

i reserve the right to declare his career over...pending post fight comments on why the guy fought with one hand....
Lacy did not win that fight. At best it was a draw but if I had to pick a winner Id give it to the Ukranian. Lacy looked great in the first few rounds but that guy came to fight and Lacy had a tough time in dealing with his resolve.
Did he hurt the shoulder? Maybe. I think Lacy is a good fighter and still good be really good. The guy he fought last night was pretty decent. But that was a bs decision last night and one that he didnt deserve.

Anyone who doughts that Lacy hurt his shoulder...has never seen Lacy fight before. They call him "left hook" for a reason. He also throws a mean uppercut with the left hand which we didn't see once in the fight.

At first I thought Lacy was just using the right hand to set up the left hook, but it was obvious after the 2nd round that something was wrong. The only punch Lacy threw with the left hand was a weak jab, not one big punch all night.
I'm not saying Lacy deserved to win the fight, but when you consider he fought the entire fight one-handed and without his best punch...I'm actually impressed with his handicapped performance.
