They're showing Morales-Barrios on Showtime? That would make it an excellent double-header with the Pascal fight!

Michael Walker to beat a washed up Mayorga at +700.

The books seem to think this is Mayorga from 10 years ago fighting.

Mayorga has not had a decent win in years.
Walker has a lot of losses on his record but they are mostly to young, talented, bigger guys.
Mayorga is no longer any of these things.

This is an upset in the making.

Morales-Barrios Update

MoralesBarrios-main.jpg

According to fightnews.com, ESPN Deportes has picked up the TV rights for the Morales-Barrios fight Saturday.

boxrec was listing Showtime, but I guess ESPN's Spanish outlet will show it

Bailey very lucky not to be disqualified, but I don't think he 'meant' to do it. He meant to lift Ouali up. Just having a little fun with him, showing that he was in control. Ouali was off balance. Bailey did walk him to the ropes, but he had no intention of throwing him over the side like that. Bailey looked to be a certain ko winner there too...

spot on brother Frank and to think Hopkins Jones was PPV, this scam artist has been conning the public for some time. Nothing I 'd rather see than Pascal laying him out on the canvas. Ornelas was landing a suprising amount of uppercutrs on the inside.. it may be that Hopkins took one fight too many and may have to DQ his way out- I hope so. I thought under 11.5 at +275 was value with Hopkins flopping on the ground against Calzaghe & Jones.. he may decide to stay there this time.

Hey Paul, what's up brother. I think you're exactly right about Mayorga - that he has not had a real win in years, and books are setting the line too wide...but I'm not sure Walker is the guy. I think that even a diminished Mayorga should have too much for him. Walker has really seemed to fall off lately. He is slow and is getting beat easier and easier. +700 is juicy and could be worth a tickle, but my honest sense is that Mayorga will win this fight.

Just lookin' out, offering up the honest opinion. I'm certainly not gonna touch Mayorga at the price, and I would not be entirely shocked if you were right here.
