YIKES! If Lunch and the "Z" man are on the Kahn artist, what hope is there for the Peterson play? At least Peterson, though not a whack artist, is fit and motivated. Lets hope for a good, competitive fight.

Thats really only one opinion! ;-)

I can absolutely see your reasoning!

+1000 on a guy like Peterson is pretty crazy...its just very tough for me to visualize a way for him to win...

The fight -even though it was not very important - had a pretty big impact!!!

hnmmm...

I meant to say that the Edwards Bayyar fight that was ruled a tko1 for Edwards because of the cut that was sufferd by Bayyar had a big impact!

seems like a miscommunication....

"A quick glance at Peterson?s KO ratio suggests he lacks the power necessary to slow Khan down. And fighting at home, I believe we?ll see Peterson more willing to exchange and display his bravado."

"In the end, that will ultimately lead to his undoing. Peterson has a tendency to drop his hands extremely low when he tries to open up and load up on shots. He throws some wild hooks and an accurate Khan will find a home for his power shots in the mid to late rounds."
I too have a hard time seeing how Peterson wins this. Roach has his guys fully prepared. The odds on Lamont are intoxicating though.

Hopkins comments seem to echo the same type of thinking. Peterson being home may fight more with reckless abandon than normally. We'll now in the first round perhaps. If it begins a feeling out process, as most do, it will be a slow war of attrition beat down administered by Kahn. On the other hand, if Paterson goes in guns blazing to gain respect, it could end before the final bell as he lacks the firepower to dismantle Kahn. Kahn will use his power and accuracy to gain the upper hand, and possibly a TKO. Baring an Ishida/Kirkland shocker, Kahn wins and moves up, unless he takes on Rios as Roach has requested.

Golvokin-Simon; WBA title....

Golvokin-Simon; WBA title....

Playing Simon @+1100, and the over 8.5+120. I feel though Golvokin is the house guy and is "supposed" to win, Simon has seen the better opposition, though he doesn't always beat the better opposition. All 4 officials are Euro guys, so it will be an uphill struggle for the puppy here. Not large moves by any means.

hmmm...

If you look at Golovkin?s last fights, nearly all of them had been KO within 5 rounds and his opponent had been inactive for a year.

From my point of view the under at close to even odds, looks more attractive to me, but it will maybe close given it is not under 9,5

Just my 2 cents, but I am not sure if I bet the fight and if I bet it on what my money will go.

Cheers

Lajuan seems somewhat durable. I suppose his year off is a little disconcerting but 8.5 with the under favored seems a touch too low. The guy seems to have a good guard, was able to withstand the powerful wild swings of Abraham, Golovkin a more accurate puncher but doesn't have the same type of pop.

I think I'll try Simon +1300 and the O8.5 at plus money. Golovkin doesn't strike me as a can't miss prospect, guy gets hit a lot and I don't think he punches as hard as his recent record suggests. Who knows maybe Simon can open a cut on Golovkin and force a cheap stoppage.

I cannot play the under 8.5 as that is cutting it way too close. 9.5 would be nicer, but I can't find that. Simon went a lot of rounds with good boxers, and I am aware of his inactivity. Long shot with long odds. Now Golvokin is -2400 at one place!

fwiw Simon's inactivity due to a hand injury. Considering power obviously doesn't appear to be his thing I guess no big deal. lol

In talking with Escalet he had this to say about the upcoming bout: ?Lajuan broke his hand in his last fight in the 7th round and has since had surgery to correct it causing his inactivity this year. He has had problems making weight up until fight time but is right on schedule this time. We have added Brian Cohen as his conditioner and see the difference already. Lajuan is trained by Wade and Randy Hinnant. He does his training at the Joe Hand Gym in Philadelphia.

+1300 sounds ok (would love sonehing like +1500/1600), where did you get that?, still I think Golo will make it but those line looks tempting :0corn

Wow, I want to see Golovkin vs. that Gregger's Proska guy. They are the 2 best middle's in the world. And I can see either man winning it.

Wondering, why does LuJuan Simon keep getting title fights in Germany. Probably 25+ more deserving guys. And he's got no fan base and no one outside of boxing degenerates, like all of us, and his immediate neighbors have ever heard of him.

hmmm more or less missed the fight, betting and watching wise...

had only a really very small one...
Gennady Golovkin vs Lajuan Simon total rounds
Under 8? rounds

Maybe I should have taken a closer look so would have been more comfrotable wih the under... hmmm

anyway I really look forward to the Kahn and Theo. fights this weekend, both should go some rounds and I think the "champs" should make it, but thats propably no secret given the very high odds...

gl to the Crew!
