I think if David Torres has a good night he's got a decent shot at beating "I'm a Joke" Stewart.

I like any price at +250 or more.

:0008

Small play for me. Stewart has been washed up for many yrs. Torres is live and I feel pretty confident he will give Stewart all he can handle and then some. Question is, will the judges give it to Torres if it's close? Hopefully Torres will take it out of their hands...good luck!

A draw -- I think.

A draw -- I think.

Anybody with a result on Stewart/Torrez ?

The Delaware News Journal had photos of the fight and one caption read "The fight ended in a draw." This was late Friday night PST, and there seemed to be no report of the show, just a photo gallery.

Thx Graham. As I said in an earlier post, I was confident Torrez would hold his own but not so confident in the judges. Not knowing any details, I think it's almost safe to say Stewart was probably the recipient of some home cookin.

Miguel Acosta seems to be a very "shiek" pick amongst boxing people. But I don't see a lot of tangible reasons being given. Most people have only seen this guy in one bout.

A few guys in particular are picking Acosta that, out of general principal, makes me pick the other side.

That's a jerk thing for me to say, but often times, when I cap a fight and I see a certain boxing writer has picked my side - I CRINGE. Guy can't pick his own ass for a while now. I'm not superstitious, but I do believe in avoiding dummies.

It's honestly a tough fight to call. Small play for me. But I think Rios is gonna eventually smash him.

The stuff I've read comparing Antillon to Rios is INSANITY. Rios is WAY better than Urbano in my mind. We are talking about constant, calculated pressure and aggressive body work (Rios).
Not just slow-motion, face-first, take 8 to get in 1 (Antillon).

Acosta is a beautiful counter striker, but he has to have room to throw and time to get the punches off. I think Rios is going to make it really uncomfortable for the Venezuelan. In the Peterson bout, Rios showed under-rated hand speed.

Brandon is also going to be MASSIVE on the night (closer to 150 I imagine).

I don't doubt Acosta's skill level. But there is just no way I can back a guy that was dropped twice by Adjaho. I think he is going up against too much momentum here. Bam Bam to smash smash by round 8 (maybe down on the cards).

Oh man, that Pabon-Santos fight was hilarious.

Americos Santos made Pabon look like James Kirkland.

Santos fights like he has a super powered magnet on his chin that attracts boxing gloves

Which boxingwriter do you mean?! ;-)

There are quite a few guys (commentators) who are very close to the sport, but cant pick fights at all, e.g. Max and Teddy!!

IMO its really a very interesting and competetive fight.
Rios will probably have real trouble with Acostas slickness!
Rios might not be Antillion, but Acosta sure is no Peterson!
Rios by late ko is probably the likeliest result, but I give Acosta a very decent chance!!!
