Putting my faith in the Puppet tonight.
Good nickname.
:0074

Guy is pretty slick, and hopefully can outbox Lenny Z (who I think was a bit flattered by the first round KO of Kim). Vasquez has proven to be one smooth customer. Hoping he is too tricky tonight over 12.

Main Events on each card - NO PLAYS for me.

That Cotto-Mayo 8.5 rounds is EXTRA SKETCHY.

I see a lot of under support, but Mayo won a 12 rounder over Forrest and was one second away from going 12 with Mosley. I think Mayo can hang around a bit here.

After all, we live in a world where Matthew Hatton can go 12 with Canelo. Something I thought physically impossible.

Go PUPPET !

this guy jumped a weight class and a half to fight alvarez?....and went 10?...and also went 10 with tim bradley?...

looking to par that over as we speak...

I'm on Vazquez too! He seems to really be coming into his own. Good fight.

Main play of the weekend is Foreman. I'm not a huge Foreman fan, but I think in this situation there is good match-making. Wolak short straight ahead. I also think Wolak may have peaked, with recent tough fights against marginal opposition. Foreman inactive, coming back from injury, not good...but I still think he outboxes clearly over 10.

I like the take on the Cotto fight Ghost. Mayorga could go rounds. Cotto by dec. (not 12rd. dec.) @ +400 is a possibility.

Lee-McEwan seems a pretty even matchup to me. Lee still hasn't fought anyone. McEwan seems to be struggling in recent fights. I say this one could go either way.

Vasquez/Zap will NOT go distance +150

I think this could be a bad opponent for Vasquez who will have to box fluently throughout to win.

Zap is not very good technically but he is aggressive and he is strong so I can see some of his punches taking their tool on Vasquez, plus Zap does have one punch KO power.

If we play the common opponent game (Kim), Zap wins by a factor of 5x.

Now if Vasquez does box masterfully with the jab, well Zap has trouble with cuts. Plus Zap will probably have to jump in to overcome the reach advantage and the potential for butt exists.

you lost me here...it`s not like vasquez lost to ham n` eggers(bradley and alvarez),,,and neither guy could stop him(in spite of the fact that he fought alvarz at 148)...

i thought they both beat kim...zapp stopped him early(it`s what he does)...and vasquez made him look foolish for 12(it`s what he does)....

it will be interesting seeing who imposes their will....classic boxer/puncher...

should be fun...

Alvarez and Bradley are both technically strong fighters and their fights v. Vasquez become boxing matches

If you have ever seen Zap fight (and if you haven't you are not missing much), you know he will be trying to turn this into a brawl

Vazquez-Zappa underway.

I have it 4-2 Vazqeuz. Vazquez crafty and awkward, difficult to fight. I think he's controlling.

Announcers have Vazquez up big.

Strange, press row has Zappa up by a bit.

Could be interesting on the cards.

6-2 Vazquez.

Two dominating rounds for him. Controlling the fight completely with the jab.

Vazquez/Zappa going the distance unless lighting strikes. Zappa however has 2 cuts on his left eyebrow, trying to wild out.

:) Usually someone say something like this and someone quits or cut or get KO'd out of nowhere.

I'm not superstitious, but if it makes people nervous I'll keep it to myself. If it makes you feel any better I'm on over and Vazquez :D

9-3 Vazquez. 117-111

Press row now has Vaz winning as well.

The only way he loses is if they rob him.
