I can't believe Oleg Maskaev and Lamon Brewster are still plodding along with their careers.
That's the state of the heavyweight division these days. I'm sure if both win Saturday, title shots will follow shortly.

Ugh.

I thought Zuniga went south on this fight? I guess the premier contest is Kahn-Barrera. Lot of divergent opinion here. Young lion/old master type of deal. I am sure the week will bring lots of arguments on both sides. I'm just not certain how good Kahn really is.

Sink or swim Paulie !
:mj07:

I'm going with you bro !
:toast: :toast: :toast:

Frank, as far as I know, Zuniga is still in for Friday against Bute. Wonder if Bute's chin got cracked a little in that last round against Andrade?

I'm also going to watch the Larios-Aoh fight (the first one) before Thursday. I'm sure the rematch will be even money...I want to see if I can get a lean either way. How much can Larios have left? Isn't his brain bleeding? I was very surprised he pulled the first fight out in October.

Paulie; you sound like Sean Connery in Red October, "one ping; one ping only". Bute was getting beat up towards the end. Maybe the dog barks?

I had a bit of money on McClosky. Just realized Morrison backed out of the fight. I think that would have been easy money

Hey fellas. Long time, no posts, but I had to stop by to see if there were any lines out for this week's fights. You guys always know the scoop before any other site that I visit, so I figured this was the best place to check. I'm looking for lines on these fights...

Thursday March 12

At Tokyo: Hozumi Hasegawa vs. Vusi Malinga, 12 rounds, for Hasegawa's WBC bantamweight title; Oscar Larios vs. Takahiro Aoh, rematch, 12 rounds, for Larios' WBC featherweight title

Friday March 13

At Montreal (Showtime): Lucian Bute vs. Fulgencio Zuniga, 12 rounds, for Bute's IBF super middleweight title

Saturday March 14

At Torreon, Mexico: Cristian Mijares vs. Nehomar Cerme?o, 12 rounds, for vacant WBA interim bantamweight title;

At Manchester, England (Integrated Sports PPV): Amir Khan vs. Marco Antonio Barrera, 12 rounds, lightweights; ; Enzo Maccarinelli vs. Ola Afolabi, 12 rounds, for vacant WBO interim cruiserweight title

At Mexicali, Mexico (Azteca America): Cesar Canchila vs. Giovani Segura, rematch, 12 rounds, for Canchila's WBA interim junior flyweight title

At Kiel, Germany: Arthur Abraham vs. Lajuan Simon, 12 rounds, for Abraham's IBF middleweight title

Please don't spend any time trying to find lines for me though guys. I'm only asking for you guys to let me know where and if you've seen lines released for these select fights. Don't waste your free time fellas. Take care and good luck!

By the way, I would'nt suggest to open up there unless I had funds there myself. They have been around and will pay up. Also sportsbetting.com and Bodog are good for boxing lines. I use all 3.

Frank

Have you noticed that for the last 3 weeks sportsbetting.com has not had the boxing odds up correctly?

Very aggravating. Last week there were no lines for Guerrero, Kirkland, Ortiz, etc. What's stranger, they had the Over-Under for these fights, but not the actual straight fights listed.

The odds have just been released today for the weekend. Same deal on their site. Over-Under odds for every fight. But no straight odds. Weird.

I tried to contact them, but to no avail.
Hope they get their act together.

They have been posting fewer and fewer odds. I don't think they had any new odds last week. Too bad, it's been a great site and they pay promptly.

Featherweight 12 rounds - Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan
Takahiro Aoh -260
Oscar Larios +180

Grabbed it once at -180 this morning, moved quickly and never came back down
not thrilled with the line now, but I think this kid wins the fight

I watched the first fight, which I scored 7 to 5 for Aoh. Could easily have been 8 to 4. Hard to see how Larios escaped with the win.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul8-0syunvw

In particular, rounds 4 and 5 Larios was getting beat down. The judge who had it 8 to 4 Larios must be blind as a bat.
I think October was the last stand of a great warrior in Larios. I think he gets stopped late tonight. or wide UD.

STRAIGHT on Aoh
PARLAY Aoh/Hasegawa

Bit concerned on the parlay because Malinga seems to be a good opponent. He is the mandatory challenger. But I am rolling with both Japanese fighters.
BTW These two fights happen overnight in Japan. Line goes down in a few hours.

Aoh deserved the nod the first time but Larios was gallant in defeat and fought very hard. It's possible Aoh could score a stoppage and the price is decent. Might be worth a tickle.
