same goes for Nicky Cook vs. Roman Martinez...I have no clue
3 Bets and 3 bets only :mj07:

Punchmaster was correct. I planned on only betting the Con fight but the odds are just too tasty on a few fights.

I won money on Cook beating "Amazingly shite" Alex Arthur.
Cook is also crap. I believe Martinez is going to waste him and hurt him to the body.
I think Cooky is in for a red headed step child type beating.

I believe Con vs Barrera is going to be a replay of the first Chavez vs DLH fight. Oscar had been decked a few times by cream puffs and was considered possibly chinny going up against an iron chinned legend.
The Bigger, Faster, Harder Hitting younger man blasts the older legend and cuts him to pieces.

I have 2 or 3 surefire bets a year in my mind that I will put a SHITLOAD of dosh on. This is one of them.

I don't advise anyone to follow my lead after the Pacman/DLH debacle. This is just the way I play my game.

Good Luck to everybody!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

I loaded up on Cook against Arthur...we both scored that time
I've seen Martinez wobbled before, but Cook does seem too small and light hitting to shake him
you got me leaning Martinez....I think he wins
but I may still pass

I'll probably take a shot on Segura

I'm also gonna throw 20 bucks against Enzo...I heard Afolabi is a good gym fighter and he just upset Eric Fields, the ESPN prospect (for whatever that's worth)

BTW it cracks me up, in all the press interviews today, how Don King kept calling his fighter "Marcos Antonio Barrera". If he's going to hype a guy up, he should at least call him by the correct name

"the bunker"
you can get around 4 and 1/3 to 1 on an over 9.5 in bute-zuniga/khan inside parlay....or with khan by decision...

with that recent cut barrera suffered, and given khan`s natural size advantage and height advantage...barrera`s age....homecourt etc...the fact he hasn`t fought a legit opponent in over a year and a half.....lot`s of factors might indicate a possible stoppage inside 12...

and zuniga is quite durable...only stopped by pavlik in the 9th...and has gone 12 around 3 times...of late, stepping up in class, bute hasn`t exactly been mowing tougher opposition down...lots of decisions...

after that last close call and the punishment bute took late,i expect him to box-box-box here...

if khan is as good as some say...and given barrera`s age, inactivity, the cut,the size differential....doesn`t cost much to take a shot...

i have to admit,i haven`t seen khan, but i`m heading over to youtube to take a look...

I agree on the fight tonight
I am going MEDIUM on the Bute fight going over 9.5
I don't think Bute will be looking to exchange too much

maybe a SMALL hedge on Zuniga by KO if that's offered
box box box as you say....this is what i see in my head anyway

I think old man Barrera is in for a beatdown tomorrow...I bet against two great fighters in the last 6 months....Hopkins and Mosley....Barrera will be the third...I think I'm finally going to get this right...third times a charm

The corner stopped the fight; Zuniga was never off his feet, altough he was beginning to get banged up pretty bad; i don't think Bute can do the same, as he gives people breathers, and Zuniga has very good recuperative powers.

I think though the size differential will be too big; i have as well the over ( medium).

Regarding Khan-Barrera:
Barrera is a great counter puncher and a great body puncher. These are, of course, concerns for Khan backers.

But I am backing Khan due to a few factors:

1. Size
2. Age
3. Barrera's retirement and subsequent un-retirement
4. The bad cut on Barrera's head
5. Power at 135
6. What the fight means for each side
7. Fight location
8. Style of each fighter
9. Roach

I was trying to get to 10, but I can't think of anymore. I'm sure Barrera backers have about 8 or 10 reasons as well. The first 3 being chin chin and chin.

I'm excited to see whether I'm right or wrong on this one.

If pictures determine a fight outcome, this dude is going to get wrecked
I don't know what the under line is for this fight, but I'm about to go check.

I added Bundu. This is strictly boxrec but the guy is fighting in his backyard. Horta has lost 7 times and a few fights ago he lost to a scrub. Bundu is undefeated but 6 yrs older.

I have a small play on khan...depending how today goes, I may play khan for a little more. MAB is not the same fighter he was. Khan needs to stay busy and just use his speed and range. I can see Mab getting very frustrated. If Khan fights his fight and not Mabs then he wins.

6 1/2 rd almost even money. IF AA wants to end it early, I believe he can. Sometimes he fights up or down to his level. He carried Shannon Taylor for 12 rds. Hopefully he wants to make a statement regarding a future fight w/Pav.

good luck Khan backers, that's who i would pick too

im sticking to 1 huge bet: wont go distance -110, with small bets on barerra 1-6 and khan 6-12. roach hasnt been with khan long enough, and khan will likely revert once he gets hit, which he should. the most likely outcome imo is barrera is overwhelmed and the corner stops it around 7 or 8.

We the see the fight the same brother

My first instinct when this fight was announced was Khan UD.
As the fight has drawn closer, I believe a stoppage is more likely. Khan does not fight cautiously when he has advantages (like he will tomorrow). He will get or get got. I also believe Barrera's cut will be a factor. As weepaul pointed out, this could look a lot like Oscar-Chavez. especially if that cut opens up.

Your bet also covers you on Khan's china chin.
Good call and good luck.

i`ve wondered for awhile if abraham is a gambling man....guys that have no bidness hanging in with him do.....

i don`t trust the guy...never will wager an o/u with him involved vs somebody he`s supposed to handle easily....

it`s the old "burn me once" thing...no more for me...

Romi Bundu just won a decision in Italy
nice job brother

:mj06:

THX Ghost! I didn't see the result anywhere.

SWEET! another last min wager pays off :00hour

I'm having a good start this week and would be more than happy just to push for the rest of the weekend. Might do a little hedging.
