Congrats 1837
Bute much more aggressive than I've seen him

nice work by Lucian

I' BIG on the UNDER. Bute will KO him! It is getting started as i speak...

Congrats.
Never saw this coming, judging by their history.
Zuniga is usually very difficult to hit to the body.

233 pounds for Brewster...that's decent
4 pounds less than last fight

233 for Sprott as well...both seem in good shape

If you are talking about the Bute fight is was smart money that was fading all the over money. It wasn't me although I wish it was. :mj1:

Yeah I blew this one
I really thought Bute would be more cautious
obviously all the Canadians pounded that under and made a killing at the last minute!
I started to worry when Steve Farhood mentioned Zuniga started his career at 54 and Bute at 75. Huge size difference.
Never seen Zuniga fold so easily. though. Dude was collecting a nice Canadian paycheck.

Hope Barrera does the same tomorrow !

Zuniga got caught with a very good plexus shot; but he acted an awfull lot on it. Usually he never shows any emotions.

I remember how he got gifted his 2 fights vs Zertuche; there's decidely some funny business involving him.

"the bunker"
i just watched this on my dvd recorder...and i honestly wasn`t aware of the enormous size differential...

i knew bute was tall, but boxrec had him listed at 6`1 and a half yesterday(or maybe i`m losing my mind?).....today it`s 6`2 ".....showtime has him at 6`2 and a half...and zuniga at 5`10"...

well, somebody was wrong because there was easily 5 inches difference ..eyeballing them,my guess is it was closer to 6....maybe more...

that was his 6th fight at super middle and zuniga had more than held his own....

i still say bute isn`t a real big puncher.....but it looked like a man vs a boy in there...

btw...mayorga...who were these "smart money" guys that hit the under at the last minute?.....are these the guys that release "steam" plays?..

thanks

Let's do this weepaul. Good luck my brother. Here is how I look today.

Straights:
Khan over Barrera - half this year's winnings
Khan ITD - LARGE
Khan-Barrera does not go distance - MEDIUM
Afolabi - SMALL
Abraham-Simon under 6.5 SMALL
R. Martinez - MEDIUM
if Martinez wins, I will play SMALL on Segura

Parlay:
Britsch/D.Rod/the chick fight over 9.5 in Gemany

Brewster/Sprott NO PLAY
Elcock/Macklin NO PLAY
Price/Hall NO PLAY

Good luck everyone. Big day of fights. We won't need that cardboard box weepaul !

I have a parlay Abraham by ko+ Maca straight+ Fury for 1.59.
Then i have Khan ko rds 7 to 12, essentially because it's a Warren card ( in case he brings his ref; i believe Barrera to still have enough to dust Amir)
Good luck to everybody.

You guys just must be confident that Barrera is finished . Maybe he is- he was cut pretty bad in his last fight and was quite slow I hear. Just hard to put a whole pile on a guy who looked really wobbled by a jab, and then Prescott never seemed close to stopping his last oppoment that Soto wiped out in 3.

The chick fight in Germany, I understand they have some amateur history, with the dog ahead 3-2. Favorite's got Sauerland-Germany in her pocket though and it should't be 5 to 1 but Skovgaard will likely have to win quite decisively to get the nod. Worth a tickle , the dog is prideful and game.

good luck weepaul and gohst, i had an all-in play a month ago, and just BARELY won.

im large on khan straight and huge on doesnt go the distance, medium on under 9.5. if you have access to uk books, they will be 100% offering live betting, if you want to hedge.

im adding more to barrera 1-6 as a hedge, i think if he wins, it will happen early. if barerra wins a decision i am far up the creek.

this is a make-or-break fight for me too. hopefully i'll see you guys back here celebrating soon! if this bout goes awry, no strip clubs for a good 6 months.

I think the cut will play a big factor in the fight
occurred only 6 weeks ago and it was huge

NJ thank you for the reminder on the Barrera ITD hedge

excellent advice

"the bunker"
Smells like Joey to me

"smart" money is smart money when it wins...when it loses,it`s not so smart...i put this stuff in the same category as these scam artist "payfer" services that come up with all these nifty terms ...

"smart" money and "steam" and "wiseguy info" ,"squares" and "sharps"...these are much akin to the tooth fairy and paul bunyan in my experience...

i`ve seen lines move precipitously and they`re wrong as often as they`re right....also seen these services tout their "smart money systems" based on line movement and other crap ,and they`re all scams in the end.....otherwise,the books wouldn`t be in bidness for long...

there are good players and bad...sometimes they win...sometimes they get it wrong....

i pulled this up for the novices...this is where all this b.s. originated....pay services....and it`s mostlt horseshit packaged and marketed to the gullible...

click on the "read more about smart money betting strategy" in blue...and guess where it takes you?...to a "premium membership" page...lol

..pretty funny,imo...

i guess if there is such a thing as "smart money",joey might be it..

but 99% of it is bullshit...look for the buzz words..

Personally I think you can have smart money on both sides of a fight. To me smart money is the money that gets the best number. With lots of dead money that takes bad numbers while driving certain numbers up. Those people are taking bad numbers and are going to lose over time. There's a difference between a bad bet and a losing bet, numerically anyways. If someone had the Zuniga over at say -200, that was a bad bet and losing bet though. I am not sure what the over started at but we will say -130. If you had -130 on the over it wasn't a bad bet, just a losing 1. Lots of different people have different opinion on what is smart money and what isn't though. Smart money to me is also someone who wins long term but even so they typically do it by getting close to the best numbers.
