Aoh deserved the nod the first time but Larios was gallant in defeat and fought very hard. It's possible Aoh could score a stoppage and the price is decent. Might be worth a tickle.

I feel the same way about the under 11.5 for Hasegawa fight. I thought the footage of Malinga showed lots of uppercuts, off balance shots that a sharpster like Hasegawa can catch. The 2nd round stoppage of decent tall southpaw Valdez doesn't hurt in his last bout.

I like Brew as well as the under +155, Brew-420. Sprott has been stopped 7 times in his career.

- over on Britsch 7 1/2 +145

-Canchila -170

small play on khan.

Futures- Wink is saying he'll dominate Williams. Williams is incredibly busy and his volume is his best defense BUT the guy makes a lot of mistakes. Quintana made him look ordinary in the 1st go. PW took a lot of shot v Mathysse, margo, quintana and even verno hit him with some good shots. I think Wink is going to give plenty of trouble. I've yet to see any odds.

Vegas has established P. Williams as a minus-160 favorite...this according to the LA Times article below

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2009/02/williams-wrig-1.html

I think I like Williams due to Winky's inactivity, but I have to think this one over. As good as Williams has looked lately, he was awful in that first Quintana fight. Right hand after right hand.

However, Winky will have been out of the ring 18 months by fight night. That's too long for his age.

Romi,

I think Canchila should get it done again for you...amazing to think he was +700 (at least) the first fight a few months ago

I like Lamon but I am worried about how he looked last fight. Against Danny Batchelder. Until the stoppage, it was very close. But, man, can Lamon punch when he needs to.

Here is his last fight:

Brewster will always be one of my all-time favs for what he did to Wladamir the first go around.

But, as you pointed out, Sprott doesn't bring much to the table to oppose on Saturday. Brewster just signed with Sauerland and should receive one last heavyweight push.

thx for the link...wasnt aware the fight w/batch was that close. Batch kept it close w/toney though. I liked bres attitude in a recent interview. I hoping for 1 of the 2 dog over/unders to hit. I heard canchila got decked early but dominated the fight other than that.

a few very tough calls this weekend
Macklin vs. Elcock is a stay away for me
unless I can get a better feel by Saturday

same goes for Nicky Cook vs. Roman Martinez...I have no clue

I think Friday I like the over 9.5 in the Bute fight....he won't want to mix it up with Zuniga...UD for Bute I imagine

I remember I had the over 7.5 with Batchelder and Brewster. It was about the 4th round and looking promising when my wife called me to the other room. When I got back to the fight on gofightlive all there was was fuzz. I knew Lamon scored a KO and I was sunk. Lamon should roll a squared up Sprott. Sprott keeps a high guard until he tries to throw some crude bombs and he's so available to the body when he covers up.

As for Chinchiila vs. Segura, I saw the fight, it was on the Margo v Cotto undercard. Segura scored a heavy KD and looked on the verge of a KO win. But it slipped away and Chinchila won most of the remaining rounds. But this fight is in Mexico and Segura could catch him again with a bomb. Why are they fighting again if someone in control doesn't want Segura to get his title back? Segura is as crude as they come but he can crack and is tough. He might get it done this time.

You bring up a good question Kramden regarding the rematch. Why does Segura get an immediate second crack at Chanchilla, and in Mexico? Seems unfair to Chanchilla. Arum I guess.

Nobody ever said boxing was fair.

I'm going to try and watch their first fight again. As I recall, it was quite a hard knockdown Chanchilla overcame.

BTW, Frank since our dialogue yesterday, sportsbetting.com seems to have all the boxing lines up and ready to go for the weekend.

Hopefully they will be on time from now on. Not sure why they were absent for a few weeks.

I am going to bet Segura at those odds. He was a HUGE favourite the last time.
I think he took the last fight lightly and tried to light up Chinchila on PPV. He seemed to run out of gas when Chinchila refused to go away and had no plan B.
I like this fight for 3 reasons-

1- This fight is in Mexico.

2- Segura should know he can't just blast this guy out and should fight accordingly.

3- Chinchila already has a fight with Calderon signed up. Now, who is taking his opponent for granted!!
This is the type of shit that bites fighters in the arse.
Chinchila won the last fight but it was a slugfest and he was hurt a couple of times. He is a mug if he takes Segura lightly.

Good luck All :toast: :toast: :toast:
